Has anyone had their windshield replaced yet? I got a chip while driving yesterday from a rock, had an appt at 8am this morning to get it filled and when I woke up it was already cracked going both directions. They tried to fill it away but was unsuccessful.

Wondering how much it cost to have the windshield replaced, and sensor re-calibrated for the cameras?

Would like to know as well, got a crack myself going almost across the whole width of the windshield, it started like your and in a very similar spot but the crack kept growing by the days so watch out for that,I don't think it's possible to stop it at this point. BTW I tried using a windshield crack repair kit on it but it helped a little to hide the crack line itself but didn't end up fixing it completely or stopping it from growing

And in my country at least I think they estimated ~6 months for me to get a new windshield from Toyota

I am considering covering the upper portion of the windshield with a black wrap from the outside like MANHART did with their supra to help hide the crack till I eventually get a new one installed

But am really disappointed with the rigidity of the supra windscreen, I believe it's easily crackable as many supra owners has reported and would be an apparent issue like the Mustangs from what I read

Quote from the dealer was about $1,400! That is new OEM glass, rain sensor, install and calibration of the camera/radar at the top of the window. Good thing insurance deductible is less than that. They said it will be 2-3 days and the glass will be in.

Just donā€™t cover up the center at the top of the window.

I got my windshield replaced yesterday at Safelite. They couldnā€™t do the sensor/camera calibration so it has to be done at the dealership tomorrow at 9am.

Side note if you get your windshield replaced outside of the dealer make sure they can do the calibration. If not the dealer charges $430! Luckily Safelite paid for it.

Broke mine early on- replaced with oem glass via safelite (geico insurance) the glass was like $600usd, i had a $500usd deductible. It has to be oem glass because there are a bunch of plastic brackets that everything plugs into....
No camera recalibration is needed. It took about 3 days for the local toyota dealer to get the glass and then give it to safelite.

read the repair manual, there is no camera calibration referenced with the glass replacement. Toyota said they needed to do it, however, also that they needed the car for two days. I opted not to do it and there have been no issues. No errors thrown, all sensors working, all features involving the camera operational.

The manual even sates that you should get an OEM windshield because there's some sort of laminate in the windshield that works with the HUD so it displays properly. Who know's if that's true or not or just a play to get your money.

Are you sure on there being no aftermarket glass? Makes sense as this is probably going to be a low volume car and the numbers probably won't make sense. Fine by me as I'd rather have OEM anyway and I have 0$ deductible glass coverage.

Yes there is no aftermarket glass. Iā€™m sure there will be sooner or later but as of now only OEM.

Glad I have a zero deductible. Already 2 small areas where trucks have thrown up rocks. No cracks though. Seems some pickups love to cut in real fast. Seems on purpose, they don't do the same with my FJ, though its windshield gets cracked all the time due to the angle.

still no issues with rain sensors, radar, camera, etc? This is good to know.
