Hi,

I'm not sure how long I'm going to keep my car for so don't want to spend a lot of money on new wheels, especially as I want BBS LMs. I was thinking a cheaper alternative would be to get the stock wheels powder coated. I've got a grey Supra and was thinking of maybe bronze wheels.

If you've done a colour change on the stock wheels could you post pics please?

Thanks

I did mine with gloss plasti dip for like $50. Looks great and didnā€™t have to shell out $4000 on new wheels. Stock wheels look good in one color, thereā€™s a few more pics on my Instagram of the gunmetal look

If your not sure how long your going to
keep your car. You might want to keep your stock wheels Oem. Itā€™s going to be harder to sell factory wheels that are painted or modded. Powder coating a wheel can mess with the integrity of the wheel structure.

I didn't realise that was the case. I better scrap that idea then. thx.
I mean your probably okay but there is always a tiny chance. And if something happened to the wheel and you get into an accident. There will be no warranty on the wheel bc they will said itā€™s was powder coated. Read here: https://www.prismaticpowders.com/learn/26/can-aluminum-wheels-be-powder-coated

There is a reason why high end companies like Volk racing/Rays actually paint their wheels from the factory not ā€œpowder coatā€ them.
