Anyone local to check if my ecu is locked?

what to do? is bench unlock can be done with tuners locally ? or do waiting bootmod3 or mhd etc to unlock it do u think they will soon?

There is no word as to when and if these will be unlock-able via the OBD port. I am sure with time it might happen but I haven't seen any news about it. I am able to bench unlock these but I am in the US. ;/

thank you, so the only way is to bench unlock them hence do you think any good local BMW tuner can bench unlock it for me?
I mean does it need some special equipment lol + if I couldn't bench it do you recommend going with jb4? cuz I'm currently running a CATLESS DOWNPIPE and having a cel and would like to tune it

JB4 wont fix the check engine light.

As for bmw tuner. Some have the hardware to do it, some do not. Most places that are BM3 tuners probably wont have the tool. But some tuners can flash straight to the ECU. You could also mail the ECU out to have it unlocked.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but how can I tell if an ECU is locked or not? Production date is 5/2021 but does that mean the ECU is post locked?

If your ECU was produced after 06/2020 then you are out of luck. 5/2021 is 11 months later so solidy locked up
