I grew up on Mk4 Supra(I'm 38) and I never had much love for BMW outside of the Z4 M Coupe. The Mk5 reminds me of a perfect blend of Mk4 and a Z4 M Coupe.

Oh I love it!!!! It has never thrown a CEL for for over a dozen thousand miles. It is super loud with the pops and crackles.

I've never been pulled over in ATL for my louder pops catless dp. However my friend did but it's because he has the same catless dp(Armytrix)as me but he has a Tomei dual exit that's is ridiculously loud as a combo. Catless dp with stock exhaust doesn't bother Atlanta's finest ?.

I find this interesting considering Toyota took the ZF manual box and pretty much modified it internally. Almost all reviews have said the gearbox feels nothing like the typical BMW gearbox.

It seems like 91 octane is the Nissan Z's kryptonite in straightline performance. A Supra is only .2 seconds slower on 91 vs the Z being .5 - .7 seconds slower on 91. They even put octane booster in and it was still somewhat disappointing with 12.9 on the 9spd.

I'm sick of the Supra catching negatives for being a BMW. I can understand if BMW was like Daewoo or one of the world's worst brands in quality and dynamically. Most of the same people that hate the BMW aspect of this car generally love BMW cars.
