If it doesn't touch it doesn't touch. ? 90* is ideal but to your point it doesn't have to be there, that's just the best angle to translate the force of the opposite tire through the bar.
Race car thing in general. With fast Miata you just have a tiny CV and a small tire making lots of CV rpm and poor drive line angles. Add a 550hp V8 and they don't last long
Stuff slips, bends, breaks also. Often even temps aren't possible because you're always turning one direction, although that's always ideal of course.
What is possible, however, is logging consistent trends with your tread temps at different tracks under different conditions and also...
Not a need. The end tips are real close to aftermarket control arms at certain suspension heights and angles. I'll never use the soft setting so will take an extra 1/2" of clearance
I saw some earlier (2021/2022) threads on the bar and was apprehensive about the shape of the bar being a little different then factory from those early pics. Idk if they revised it or not but mine is a carbon copy of the factory shape, just bigger. Cutting the last hole off for clearance and...
Honestly most slower private events even by regular organizers are pretty risk-averse. Exocets have a huge ceiling, but the majority of them are super slow.
Slow cars with novice drivers arent a good match to fast cars with seasoned or advanced drivers, and it looks like you paid the price...
There is no deflection. The conversation starts and ends with pyrometer readings. Instead of choosing to contribute to searching for the cause of the unexpected wear, you chose to attack me. I don't know why you're looking for a way to prove you're a man child but I guess I can't stop you...
Sure, but it's clear conjecture given the original post didn't include any discussion of actual tire temps taken leads me to assume there were none taken and it's pointless trying to solve the "mystery" of inner tire wear when...
...it's temp related.
People, buy a pyrometer. It's one of the...
You need coilovers for big front tires. Stock perches are just too wide, and you're either hitting the perch or the fender.
Unfortunately parts and consumables for these cars are 3-5x the cost of Miata/exocet parts ???
What is your pyrometer saying on tread temps on the inner band? That's the only diagnostic tool you need to tell you if your suspension is setup right for conditions. The 720s are real sensitive to overheating.
