I am noticing some wear on the outside of my rear tires that I attribute to the small amount of toe-in I'm running in the rear. Fronts seem to be wearing a little more evenly with zero toe and ~-3.2 degrees of static camber.
I'm going to pull the tires and wheels off so I can clean them...
I've been running these now for a couple track days and a car control clinic and I am very very impressed with the tires on track. I do wish they had a 295-35 or a 275-40 so they fit the 10.7" Titan-7s a little better, but the steering is so sharp and responsive now. They really like hot...
A 23 year old Engineer with rich parents at my work just traded in his 2023 WRX for a brand new M2 after driving the WRX into the dirt (20k miles, no oil change). Two days later he was clocked going 130 in a 55. He was racing some other idiot and got tagged by a motorcycle cop who was hiding in...
Some straight up fucking mouth breathing stupidity in this thread.
If you're going to drive like a fucking moron on public roads at least be sure you're signed up to be an organ donor so when you're irresponsibility catches up to you your life won't be a total waste.
At this point I would highly recommend upgrading your pads and fluid. You'll be ready for 200tw tires once you do. That will literally transform the car on track.
Alright, based on responses I'm going to put together a list of helmets and see what Race Choice (literally the town across the CT River from me) carries. They don't have a showroom, but the owner is willing to make an appointment to pull some stock that I can try on.
Here's the list...
Every time I'm under my car I see more and more damage to the factory lip lol. I'll probably just replace it with another factory lip if it gets too ugly.
I do kinda like the idea of having an integrated microphone and speaker. Having to shove one under my helmet is uncomfortable. Is their a standardized plug for intercom systems?
That thing is TITS! Definitely having a look!
One of my coworkers does pro-am go-cart racing and he told me there's a motorsports safety kinda place in the next town over called RaceChoice. It seems like they stock Bell, Arai, Stilo, Simpson, Impact, etc. I'm just not sure if they have a...
I've had my open face Pyrotect for 5 years now, and I'd like to upgrade to something newer that's full face, SA2020, HANS compatible, and hopefully a little lighter. For the $180 I spent on my Pyrotect it's served me very well for AutoX and my first few track days in the Supra, but it's time...
