Yeah I'm definitely not overlooking the 3RS price 🤣
I think the Cayman GT4 is Porsche's current sweet spot in terms of price/performance. But I'm not convinced it would be meaningfully faster than a Supra and would be harder to modify.
That's confusing, because none of those codes are chassis related to my knowledge.
Only thing I could find on the active codes: 21B055/21B056 codes | SupraMKV - 2020+ Toyota Supra Forum (A90 MKV Generation)
My current C21s in the front have been on the car for 3 or 4 events, and I feel like the pad depth has barely changed. I haven't measured the depth, I should grab a set of brake pad calipers to actually chart it.
Wear starts off slow and then accelerates as the pad thins, though, I presume due...
Not really, no.
Brakes are a very simple hydraulic system.
The caliper is two piece but to rebuild it, you don't need to separate it. All of the seals and pistons are accessible without doing so.
- Remove caliper from car
- Use compressed air to blow the pistons out, place a block of wood or...
Factory engineering goes a long way, especially when it comes to chassis and suspension design. The EVO is a fantastic car (my girlfriend has an EVO X with a built, Darton wet sleeved 4B11 and a complimentary set of modifications) but unless they've radically redesigned the suspension, the GT3...
I checked the rules and they don't specifically list all cars, but there's a provision giving them leeway to bump cars up in class for a "Spirit of the rules" situation, and Track Modern specifically states that it is intended for modern supercars with minimal modifications:
I don’t know about the GT3 RS specifically, but most supercars go straight to Track Mod at Gridlife. There was a guy running a McLaren 720S for a while. In Street GT, there’s a price limit of $130,000 MSRP adjusted.
When you get to Track Mod you can run real aero and I think a stock GT3 RS...
Not yet but I haven’t had to buy anything recently. I have spares for my rotors and pads already, spare hubs, spare lug studs, and a ton of oil. Next year might be painful…
This was my overall best lap at Lime Rock. 1:00.372
Looking at the delta times I think I had a mid, possibly low 59 in the car if I managed to string it all together. I was running an older set of Yokohama A052s and this was lap 7 so they were definitely past their window, and the car drove...
Ended the weekend at Lime Rock with a 1:00.372. I was hoping to get a 59.xx and I had an optimal 59.7x but couldn’t link it all together in one lap. Given that I hadn’t been here before and my A052s had >10 heat cycles I’m not disappointed. Super fun track. It feels like driving a car on a big...
Noticed some issues with my driver side rotor and pad wear so went ahead and rebuilt the calipers. I added the RacingBrake stainless steel pistons “while I’m in there” and also did Spiegler lines and fresh SRF.
Got it all back together last night. Tested on the street just now to ensure I won’t...
Yep, I run in Street GT. I had tickets to Lime Rock the last two years but didn't make it out. 3rd times the charm. Assuming UPS gets here with my last minute brake parts that I overnighted from CA...
I had pretty optimal conditions when we ran with GL earlier this year. I struggled to get below 1:43.00 when I ran a couple months later with SCCA. The track really falls off once summer hits in the Southeast. If you had a good time, try hitting it in March-April or maybe October-November.
