I can say from personal experience that the newer 911 and Caymans (2009+) are much more than the sum of the parts and are truly a joy to drive. I feel that way about my S2000 too even though itās a little āslowā and ārough ridingā.
I have driven an M2 on a short test drive but didnāt get the...
^ up to 181... I agree that that it needs to be at least over 1,000 for Toyota to take it seriously. 10,000 would be great but how do we get there?
I cross posted this on S2ki and ClubLexus in current threads discussing the Supra, can anyone else cross post in other forums and report back...
^Agree with @Craigy... I would mainly consider another used 911 (I had a 2009 911 6-speed), an M2 (I like smaller-ish cars and would take the M2 over the M4 any day), I would also consider an RCF as a daily-GT car and keep my S2000 for 6MT fun.
And yes, I can afford a $60k sports car as either...
Spot on.
How can I sell my S2000 with a nearly perfect manual transmission for an AUTO supra... not happening.
Me personally, I'd rather have a 240hp 4cy manual supra than a 450hp AUTO supra... but that's just me.
I was quoting above to ask if anyone knew the manual take rate on the FRS-BRZ-86 is... can someone confirm itās close to 50%?
I assume the same type of buyer. If the take rate was 10% I could understand not offering it, but if itās 50%, thatās just Toyota not listening to their current and...
If they are dropping hints... What course could they possibly be testing on where a lap of 3.14 is a good time?
Also, does the wheel read 6th gear and 320 KPH? 320 KPH = 198-199 mph.
Maybe it all means nothing in relation to the production version?
Toyota finally listed this under their "Upcoming Vehicles" tab on their website.
https://www.toyota.com/concept-vehicles/supra/
The FT-1 was not listed as a concept when I checked a few weeks ago, and this was added sometime while I was sleeping last night/this morning.
That is my understanding... I hope those that have hinted to seeing the production version in New York are correct!
Several outlets are reporting the production version will be a 2019 model going on sale before year-end 2018.
Fingers crossed!
Ditto. Iād pay up to $10k more than M2 price for a manual Toyota version M2 with Toyota reliability and a sexy shell. (Depending on final specs and design of course)
Iām dying to know the final specs.
