  1. U.S. Toyota Dealers without Mark Ups

Apparently they do have enough business, at least for their limited selection of cars that come in. The salesperson said they get so few cars in that they had to limit their customer base to just certain city residents. It's rather short sighted if you ask me. Now I will forever know them as...
  2. U.S. Toyota Dealers without Mark Ups

Yikes! That’s going way too far to dig up your personal info. We’re buying a $60k car, not $10M beachfront property I have to say that buying my Supra was by far the absolute worst overall experience buying any car that I’ve had. Last spring / summer, called around dozens of places, only to...
  3. Random Wheel Lug Bolt Rant

Buys length of pipe from Home Depot Buys new chop saw to cut length of pipe to desire length Shows the significant other how you “saved” and bunch of money on your homemade cheater bar Ultimate ploy for new power tool!
  4. U.S. Toyota Dealers without Mark Ups

There’s a local dealer by me (Toyota of Seattle) that takes this to the next level. Not only will they not sell out of state, they won’t sell out of the Seattle city limits. And not even the entire city of Seattle, only from a certain cross street and within I’m in the burbs and was told...
  5. U.S. Toyota Dealers without Mark Ups

You don’t really get to order and customize the car, Toyota doesn’t really let you do that. You still need to go to the dealer and put in your preferences and wait in line for their dealer allocation. Depending on your color preference, transmission preference, etc, it may take longer for the...
  6. Random Wheel Lug Bolt Rant

https://www.harborfreight.com/85-amp-12-in-impact-wrench-with-rocker-switch-64120.html I went SUPER cheap and got this from Harbor Freight years ago when I had to break loose the front hub nut on a 911. Those are torqued to 250ft lb from the factory, and this driver has no problems
  7. PNW Sightings Thread

LOL, sorry I took your normal spot, had to come in early for some meetings ?
  8. Adding Wireless charger

Totally agree. It does a great job of making my phone super hot, almost uncomfortable to pick up while it’s “charging”. I just keep my phone in my pocket most of the time.
  9. Always be careful about the shop you order parts from!

Another +1 for @NitroYellowMKV When I first joined the forums and had questions about mods, he graciously spent time on the phone asking me what I was looking to do with the car, what common options are, pros and cons, etc. Basically gave me a quick crash course education on the platform. He...

  11. PNW Sightings Thread

On Friday, I spotted a grey Supra just off of Union Hill Rd in Redmond, close to Target and Home Depot. I didn't recognize what kind of car was driving towards me until it was too late and the person was waving at me too  I see so few of us driving around that I don't realize what I'm...
  12. MST Clear intake advice

My temp sensor is oriented the same way as yours. If I remember correctly, there's a very small "ridge" on one end of the intake pipe that's supposed to correspond to the side where the air filter goes. It's such a minor difference, I don't think it's going to matter.
  13. Oil change at Wesley Chapel Toyota

My local Toyota dealers can barely handle my appliance Sienna minivan for regularly service. They’re not touching the Supra…
  14. Tips on Oil Change for 2.0

I also changed my oil yesterday, but mine is a 3.0. You said you had trouble with the drain plug? Interestingly, mine was shockingly loose, took almost no effort. The specs on that drain plug (and the filter) is 18 ft-lb, so I guess that makes sense. Wondering if there's a different torque...
  15. Coastal Washington Driving Conditions

Not sure about lowered cars, mine is at stock height. When I did a test fit of the jack, it seemed to have quite a bit of clearance at the lowest setting to get under the jack point. I'll measure it when I get a chance.
  16. Cars you sold after or traded in for the Supra

Sure! The 996tt were relative bargains a few years back when I picked it up. The 6 speed was very engaging, but the shifting was just “ok” until you get a short shifter and a weighted shift knob. Steering feel is good, but not great, the AWD takes some of the that natural older 911...

If I’m going somewhere that has shitty cell reception or I know help would be few and far between, I take this with me: https://modernspare.com/product/2019-2023-toyota-supra-spare-tire-kit-options/
  18. MST Clear intake advice

I just installed the latest V2 kit with the silicon coupler. I was a bit surprised as I didn’t know they updated the kit until mine arrived. Installs easy and I’ve been checking every couple of drives to see if the connection is still ok. Seems solid enough. I also have the exact same gap...
  19. Cars you sold after or traded in for the Supra

Traded in my 2003 911 turbo for the Supra. Fun car especially after the turbo and intercoolers upgrades, but got really tired of 20 year old Porsche problems. No regrets!
