Totally agree! My last car was a 2003 Porsche 996TT that came with the factory wheel locks (with no key, of course), took me about 30 seconds to figure out which socket to hammer in there and pop the wheel locks off.
Mine has finally made it off of the train and into the hands of the truck company. No word yet if the truck actually started moving towards Seattle yet. LOL
I hear you, though my car was released from hold a while back. Got an update from the sales guy, says my car is on a train somewhere in Oregon, scheduled to make it onto the truck today / tomorrow. So maybe another week to delivery?
Thanks! Just trying to be patient. Although my wife is getting annoyed at the pile of parts accumulating in the garage for a car I donāt have. Just got a Blitz front strut bar from RHDJAPAN to add to the list of things to do!
I feel like the east coast deliveries happen much faster than the west coast. My car was built in early June and itās been 4 months and counting for transit. Maybe itās always been like this and Iāve never been waiting in anticipation for a car before.
Are you me? LOL I also am waiting for a 2022 absolute zero premium coming in :)
Still waiting for the car to get to the dealer, it's on the rail transport from Long Beach port to Seattle. When did you order yours?
My overall frustration has turned into curiosity at this point. How can it be that literally every date that my dealer has given me been so off. I mean, off target by weeks sometimes. I know, stuff thatās out of their control, but logistic situations that are so bad itās laughable.
I work in...
Gotta bug the sales staff about updates, and they give me screenshots of the system. Luckily my guy has been pretty good about giving me visibility every few days.
He doesnāt get paid until the car is in my hands, so heās got a vested interest too ?
It looks like a different take on PlasticDip that's better formulated for wheels. I want to try a different color on the wheels to make sure I like it before I go the powdercoat / paint route. I do like the stock wheel design, but the chrome bits isn't my style.
As soon I get the car, that's...
Hang in there everyone, Iām sure it will be worth the wait!
Just as an fyi to anyone thatās planning to finance your purchase, the Fed just raised interest rates again. It may be worth having a conversation with your bank or credit union to see what they can do about locking in a lower current...
mine came off hold last Friday, but the system is still not updating. My dealer gave me the weekly ānot sure what is going on, but hereās what I see in the systemā update ?
The schedule I got from my dealer is:
Rail depart 9/16
Rail Arrive 9/24
On truck for delivery 9/24
Since none of the previous dates have held, I figure if I get the car by early October, I will be a happy man.
Yes, mine was built on June 9th, arrived at the port on July 31st and was initially scheduled for delivery late Aug.
Iāve been buying parts to that date, so I have a few goodies sitting in the garage for a car I donāt have yet:p
Like @kingdooksdb said, just trying to stay positive, and for me...
