is it then possible that other m/t supras will be delivered prior to the ones on the QC hold or does this just back up all other deliveries

Hey, so does that mean that your car is on a QC hold while it's still at the factory? That interesting since mine has been shipped and it on QC hold at a dock somewhere (probably Long Beach, CA).

Also my dealer has no idea what that release and delivery timeframe is. He tells me that he once had a customer's Tundra be on a QC hold for 60 days at port. Ugh...

I am going to stay positive, if it was just one customers car than maybe there was a big issue, but sincethere’s a bunch of us I’m going to assume it’s small maybe software related stuff

I was told from one the corporate insiders.
QC inspectors must "queue" on "Validation vehicle built" before they can be embarked on the ship for the journey to the origin >> destination.
If your vehicle has arrived at the destination port and being QC, just call it a hold off from the Toyota until they give it a GO. Most likely a volume control and traffic flows at the dealers.

Keep in mind, QC is already completed from the origin if not, it will never be on the ship.
Dealers will only tell you what they see, like a FED Ex tracking with no details. They don't have a clue but just an experience dealing with other cars and other QCs and tell customers.

So yes, My car built on 8/29, is still being QC in Austria before being embarked.

You will get yours. Just not now. Not next weeks. If its in the states, probably 4-6weeks until you see your car.
I m guessing your car was one of the very first built vehicles from May24- June if the dealer tells you its somewhere in the USA.

Yes, mine was built on June 9th, arrived at the port on July 31st and was initially scheduled for delivery late Aug.

I’ve been buying parts to that date, so I have a few goodies sitting in the garage for a car I don’t have yet:p

Like @kingdooksdb said, just trying to stay positive, and for me, read WAY too many threads on the forum :)

Not sure why your car ended up on the vessel embarked in CA. Should have been on the one headed for the port in NY.

Keep in mind for those who are waiting that it's not your individual dealer, its the national flee distribution. Flee of cars on the ship(s) will all be "OK" by toyota at once and on to the truck. For this good reason, dealers nationwide will have their supras only few days to week apart for earlier built cars who share the same vessel.

Hope this help for those who are waiting.

I wish to be more optimistic but same QC hold happened to my BZ4X and only a month later Toyota announced the recall, it still sits in the port here in the US, 4.5 months now. Hopefully it’s not related to wheels this time.

Now of its at the port how long is that wait….
The schedule I got from my dealer is:
Rail depart 9/16
Rail Arrive 9/24
On truck for delivery 9/24

Since none of the previous dates have held, I figure if I get the car by early October, I will be a happy man.
