What version? I’m running 2.5.1 and it hasn’t connected at all, and neither did 2.5.0. All reviews since July 30 say the same. I expect 2.5.2 will fix the problem.

Very good discovery. I guess that security protocol is newer than my 9-year old LiftMaster. I switched the bulbs to LED years ago and the HomeLik in my Supra works just fine. I have all windows tinted, including the windshield, and I haven‘t noticed any interference with HomeLink or WiFi. BTW...

That is true, though the correct term is “register the battery”. You can do that with an OBD2 scanner and an app that offers that option for BMW. One such app is BimmerLink. https://bimmerlink.app/ You should watch this video. At about 19:40 he discusses the battery.
