Best I can measure, it’s 2mm to the top of the round knob in the center, which seems to be 0.5 mm in height. There’s also a less-than-half mm lip all around. The factory adhesive would cover that lip but leave the knob exposed since it has an oval cut-out in the center.
I didn’t go with the custom badges mentioned in this thread. I very much dislike the Toyota logo. My wife once said it looks like Woody from Toy Story - I will never be able to unsee that. To me, that logo in any color or material is like lipstick on a pig.
I had these custom aluminum badges...
I had stickers like this made a year and a half ago. I didn’t like having stickers so I had custom aluminum badges made a year ago. I so dislike the “Woody from Toy Story” OEM logo.
I see a set on eBay, sold individually:

Not using it is one thing, but not having it connected might cause ECU errors, which could be an issue if there’s ever another recall that requires an ECU update.
These are full replacements. They are aluminum, with recessed and painted black background, identical measurements as OEMs, and same underside radius to fit the curvature of bumper and trunk.
OEM badges have adhesive and pins. Here you can see the steps I followed to remove them and pics of...
Is your car parked in the cold? If so, for how long? If parked indoors, do you lock the car? Do you use a battery tender? How long do you drive before the screen starts working?
It could be the battery is discharging enough to affect the screen but not enough to keep the car from starting up.
Highly doubtful. The update software checks the system and won’t proceed if anything is not according to specs. When I had mine done, the tech called because the software had complained about some unexpected battery drain, after which he disconnected my dash camera but the software still...
I hope you remember to unplug it before you drive off, lest you incur some damage to the car or the charger or both. Having the hood partially open gives you an alert when you start the car.
I had my 2020 Premium done yesterday. I took my battery tender and the Supra tech used it. He did have to disconnect my dash cam and its parking-mode battery. Recall was done in two hours without issues. They told me they had a car last week that ended up with a fried ECU though they‘ve done...
I have Z23 pads on front and rear. Very little dust, on OEM wheels, even after several hundred miles of freeway & street driving. Then again, I sealed my wheels with this...
