My trusted mechanic, who specializes in BMWs, said you only need to replace that bolt when the pads are worn out. BTW, I have a set of OEM pads with just under 5k miles, if anyone local is interested in buying them. I’m in the IE.

CarPlay in the Supra has and odd characteristic: it only works if your phone’s WiFi and Bluetooth are “on“ before you start the engine. Turning one or both on after you start the engine does not work.

The trick is to press the air bag while you are unclipping it. It takes less than a couple of minutes to pop out if you do that.
