  1. How common is an issue like this that requires so much excess disassembly to replace a simple part?

My guess is that it is extremely rare. Ahmed has mentioned in other Supra videos that they have been reliable.
  2. HOW TO CHANGE AUT GEAR TO NEUTRAL - HELP

Is it possible for a flatbed tow truck driver to place a dolly under each of the rear wheels, then pulling the car onto the bed?
  3. Woke up for work to this ! - vandalism

Thanks. Hopefully it won't take long for you to be back on the road.
  4. Woke up for work to this ! - vandalism

That kills me to see that damage! I had a similar but not as bad incident happen to an older car, many years ago in CT. My friend and I went out to a nightclub in his Triumph TR7, so I left my car parked on the street. When we came back, the rear corner of my car was bashed in, and there in the...
  5. Brake problems 2024 Premium MT 5k miles ... too early?

I had the same thing happen to my 2001 C5 front rotors. The dealership turned the rotors, but told me that the next time this happens, they would have to charge me for new rotors. Apparently, this was not uncommon. I ended up getting cryo-treated slotted rotors and after 30,000 miles they were...
  6. Sound Clip Video - Dinan Exhaust/CTS Downpipe

Sounds great! Welcome to the Mikan Blast 45th club.
  7. Used Toyota Supra (Mk5, 2019-2025) buyer’s guide

My Supra is an auto, and I cannot (at least at this time) sell my MX5 with 6-speed manual, as I enjoy the top-down experience too much.
  8. Shipping Driver Likely Took my New Supra on a 50 Mile Joyride!!!

As you probably know, the break-in restrictions according to the manual are: 1200 miles No higher than 4500 rpm and 100 mph I refused to buy a used Supra after reading about many forum members' beating the heck out of the car without every correctly breaking it in. My car had 11-13 miles on it...
  9. Sound Clip Video - Dinan Exhaust/CTS Downpipe

Is that legal where you live, as far as sound level? I seems loud, but I can adjust what I hear by turning up or down my PC's speakers' volume, so it's hard to tell.
  10. U.S. Toyota Dealers without Mark Ups

So you were able to custom-order your Supra? Or did you pick the exact one you would wait for, in the hope that it wouldn't take more than a year. Or you saw that this dealership had this particular one already scheduled to be shipped?
  11. Neutral override

Definitely let us know how it turns out.?
  12. Neutral override

How's your battery health? Have you checked it? Based upon what I've read and seen, getting underneath is the only way to put it in neutral. It could be that the flat bed tow truck driver can put each rear tire on a wheel dolly, then pull it onto the bed.
  13. GR Supra Oil on National Backorder

If there is an engine warranty issue, I think it's best to have oil that meets the certifications listed in the owner's manual.
  14. GR Supra Oil on National Backorder

I'm pretty sure that Mobil 1 and Valvoline oils do not comply. Liqui Moly is one other company that does have oil that complies.
  15. Has anyone ridden in a Tesla Plaid?

I would imagine that this is somewhat like a Z06 in that most drivers would think it's a $40K less expensive C8 until they try to race you. In that regard, the car is a "sleeper".
  16. Has anyone ridden in a Tesla Plaid?

"Fun" typically includes sights, sounds, and other physical sensations. Imagine going on a rollercoaster that was perfectly silent - no screaming sounds or clicking of the track. I was given a ride in an open cockpit bi-plane. It wasn't fast but WAS lots of fun. Ditto for driving a Vanderhall...
  17. Noob: test drove supra w/trouble getting in and out of it

You're 87 and only now starting to have discomfort? That good news for us younger senior citizens! If neither of you do squat exercises, they may help keep your leg strength up.
  18. Has anyone ridden in a Tesla Plaid?

I understand your point of view as well. And yes, having a drop-top bumps up the fun factor on another level. My NC Miata would never be a long-commuter car, as the noise gets to me after a while, but for driving on back roads on a beautiful day, the MX5 is tough to beat. As you know, you look...
  19. Has anyone ridden in a Tesla Plaid?

You are correct in that the most productive computer has tactile "controls" such as a mechanical keyboard and mouse. MCAD designers of 3D objects and assemblies often use specialized mouse-replacements. You CAN speak to Microsoft's Word program, but the percentage of those who do so is very...
  20. Has anyone ridden in a Tesla Plaid?

I'm curious...Would you be okay with an all-in-one desktop computer with no mechanical keyboard for daily use?:dunno:
