Hey there - I'd like to get a square 18" setup, however I want to be able to bring 1 spare OEM front wheel to the track (to get home if something happens). After looking at the tire options offered and the fitment guide, I'm not confident what I want can be achieved. Any insight would be helpful...
sorta...the warranty book also states that the consumer has to maintain the car so if there's warnings like these that get ignored long enough that becomes negligence and voids applicable warranty haha.
days ago i checked my level it was at down 1/2 quart (middle between min/max). I took it to...
yep. so it could be totally normal burning as part of break-in. though, what's odd is I finished a trackday at Laguna around 1800 miles. No drop at 2000 miles. Now there's a drop. Go figure haha.
Replying to my own post as a follow up.
2,200 miles now, ran the test a few times, different areas, inclines, etc.
Half-way mark from Max after 250 miles.
check it again at another spot - just for kicks - and i'm not sure the dealer will do anything until the warning goes off. in between min and max is totally fine.
Depending on your gopro model, you may or may not have the option to adjust the EV (exposure value), to a negative value such as -1.5 or -2.0 so that the outside of the windshield isn't washed out. Usually this is only available in upper end models with a pro mode enabled.
Alternatively, most...
Thanks for the review. I was looking into these too. If you ever get a chance to take them onto a track and/or autocross type event, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts and see how they wear.
I know they're not a track tire at all, but the cost and lower grip thresholds appeal to me more than...
stock pads that have never been removed or aftermarket pads?
Just my theory on what might be happening if it is brake related (versus suspension like a top mount, or loose sway bar etc.)
You may experience some clicking/clunking/banging type noises if you've previously removed and reinstalled...
Just about 2,000 miles.
About 6 launches, lots of high revving for the pops n bangs, 42 complete laps of Laguna Seca (top speed of 125mph), and oil has been reading full (been checking every couple hundred miles).
Date on the door sill says 12/20.

Thanks to folks in this thread for being positive and open with sharing experiences and knowledge.
Finished my first HPDE in the Supra and was really impressed with what it could do.
Changes to my car from factory:
CSG CP brake pads
ZL1 Additions rock guards
Satin PPF
Sport Plus mode (via...
Participated in HPDE at Laguna yesterday and pretty much drove it exclusively in Sport Plus and Sport Traction mode. I really enjoyed it. I think Sport would have been fine/same, but not needing to mess with my individual settings was good. Car's a beast.
Have you owned other turbocharged vehicles? I only ask because it's been my experience most of em end up with dirty exhaust tips mostly from what I learned was excess carbon. I had an Audi and a Golf whose exhaust tips would be covered within 100 miles of driving after a good clean. My Supra has...
An alternative is to enable the car to startup in sport individual - which is what I do. The next press of the button switches to normal, then to sport plus.
As some of us have shared, it's pretty sensitive in sport+. Whether you feel that's improved or not, is subjective. It's not a tune, so it's not changing if the turbo spools quicker etc...it'd be similar to standard sport if you were just to quickly push the throttle down more.
You're in Chicago? These guys seem to do amazing work and I mostly enjoy some of their youtube content. https://www.chicagoautopros.com/
At least get a quote from them - I suspect they'll be on the high-end, but take it from people who have done PPF a few times...the films are almost always the...
I went out on a spirited drive today along with the same traffic you mentioned. I'll +1 your comments.
I did enjoy having the sport mode be Sport+. I thought it would have been too touchy (cause it is in traffic), but actually it's just very lively. I keep all the safety nannies on and they...
Here's how my Turbulence Gray with Satin PPF turned out when there's no polarized lenses (sunglasses or camera lens) used to look at the car out in sunlight. It also looks fantastic under solid overcast skies and in the evening.
The issue I'm having (which is documented by PPF film...
