The nice part about Bimmercode is it stores previous settings and you could, with a tap, revert back, without even diving into each setting you've changed.
I got into a friend's Supra and had forgotten what it was like to have all the annoying chimes, dim screen, etc. To each their own but...
I'd love to try a 2.0 - wish I did at the time of purchase. I would assume the lower front weight is a joy to have on a back-road and I do subscribe to driving a slow car fast is better than driving a fast car slow. I think the 2.0 would be both great on road and on track, for the right driver...
I see you have a BRZ. I owned a 2020 BRZ for a year and did everything I wanted to do with it during the course of a year and as others noted it's a seller's market - I basically owned and drove the car for the cost of taxes, insurance, and fuel (plus whatever mods I put on it). With a good...
I shared a photo in my post along with the fact that the system automatically adjust the recommended front / rear tire pressures in accordance with temps. https://www.supramkv.com/threads/brake-fluid-for-hpde.9128/post-131857
The temp is just taken in general as it's measured by the TPMS...
The new BMW M cars are equipped with a custom PS4S (similar to the PSS star spec we have on the Supra and various older BMWs).
There's quite a few changes they made to the PS4S that would make it a compelling tire to use on the Supra and they do have it in our factory sizes.
I might give these a...
Thanks for snapping. Well ours looks similar enough. Perhaps the waviness is how it is on these motors. I was looking at some other engines and they usually have straight lines.
Since there seems to be a good number of you who have had to add your own oil or have done your own oil changes, have you looked down the oil filler opening? I decided to look at mine and I'm used to cars where there's really nothing to see. Do all of yours look like this too?
Speaking with track junkies, on a stock setup, there's a difference between improved grip versus better tire wear in regards to pressures. The PSS tires have a softer outer compound and it'll wear quicker even with -3 degrees of negative camber. What I learned is that the recommended pressures...
Others have shown the factory pads and fluid to hold up fine for these NASA and other HPDE events. The only notable thing is light scoring around the rotors (seems to be the way the factory pads wear under pressure).
Since you're experienced, what keeps most of the temps in check is the tires...
I like this explanation and it could apply to the two times I experienced this - which is almost immediately after restarting the car after a longer drive and leaving a parking lot.
Definitely should! No matter what car I'm in I'm always a few seconds off haha. Always working on the driver mod but I also need to drive the car home, unlike Randy. :D
With more miles and various driving events under my belt, I was digging around forums and in bimmercode for a while with not so much luck to find a way to keep the exhaust valves open like in Sport mode but with normal mode throttle mapping.
Did I miss the solution to that somewhere?
Understood and aware. That's why I said I'd bring an OEM Front, but realizing with 18" rims, there are no viable tire size alternatives that are equal to OEM diameter (295/335 being the closest to stock 255 up front).
Thanks Ryan - do you guys have any photos of a Supra with a square tire...
