I just wonder how much more power can be squeezed out from the B48 engine, even after flashing the ECU.:hmm:
I believe there would be no problem flashing the ECU of the award-winning B58 engine since it’s built for the enthusiasts, where there will be huge aftermarket support. Bigger engine...
Since the A90 is marketed as a grand tourer, with its low ground clearance, ride height, will it just be fair enough to clear on speed bumps & ramps, humps, as well as going uphill & downhill, and the likes?
I also love the Phantom Matte Gray color. The only problem is....I heard it’s hard to maintain matte colored cars, and that they’re prone to scratches.
Guys, watch this video:
I hope the new A90 MkV will be able to hold its value well, just like the A80 MkIV, and be as legendary as its older sister/s. What do you guys think? Will it succeed?
Which color of the A90 Supra are you ordering and why?
Renaissance Red 2.0
Nitro Yellow
Downshift Blue
Phantom Matte Gray
Absolute Zero White
Tungsten Silver
Turbulence Gray
Nocturnal Black
Winning 143 of 163 laps, that already sounds impressive!:headbang:
But the Supra in NASCAR, what engine, and transmission does it use? Is it like the road going Supra, or more of like the old Camry used in NASCAR with just a bit of restyling and rebadging done?
Yes, it’s about the inline-6, and the turbo, as well as the manual transmission, that made the A80 MkIV, particularly with a 2JZ-GTE engine, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, into a legend. Nothing more, nothing less. :D
For me, there’s nothing special with the four banger versions. It’s just to reduce costs and at the same time have better fuel economy. Performance wise, I don’t see it outperforming its rivals like the Porsche Boxster. Toyota may want to see the reaction on the BMW Z4’s four-pot versions first...
Will the warranty be a major concern for buyers of the 1st batch of Supra? I’m just thinking about the BMW engine’s reliability as well as BMW electronics and electricals, for now, if these major components should make us worry or it’s just ok(since it’s a Toyota).
