I see... as much as I want a manual to happen, I think Toyota will reserve it to the performance-oriented variants, or hopefully they could introduce it in the coming years when the Supra gets a refresh/update. :D
Worrying about this, “A rear-mounted timing chain will be a worry for high-mileage Mk.5s, which will need the engine removed to service this assembly.”
How has the B58 in the Supra improved over other models that use the B58 motor?
WRX is made for on and off road duties. The Supra is made for road and track. Both cars serve different purposes. The Supra is good for daily driving. But if you want to put some roof rack system, or for hauling, I think it’s better to get a new WRX instead.

It would sound cool to have a manual transmission Supra. But what about its positioning with the 86? I believe if there would be a manual Supra, then...
Toyota has gained an inline-6 from BMW. BMW, on the other hand, gained a more reliable car thanks to Toyota. I have faith in Toyota. The A90 Supra will be a reliable car.
I noticed that the Supra has a ground clearance(ride height) of 1292mm vs. the Z4’s at 1304. The Supra sits lower to the...
PROs:
-Inline-6 engine
-Sexy and sporty design
-2-seater layout
-Driver-focused cockpit
-Stiffer than LFA
-Sports car for everyday; built for road and track duties
CONs:
-Inline-4 engine(should have a detuned inline-6 instead, or name it something else, for the sake of tradition)
-No manual...
Maintenance wise, I wonder if maintaining the A90 Supra would cost just like maintaining other Toyota cars, or would it be more expensive to maintain, just like maintaining a BMW?
With regards to this new MkV, do you think it can be a collector’s car in the future? Partnering with BMW, parts may be more expensive; but doesn’t seem like they’ll be phased out anytime soon as they share different parts with different BMW models as well.
That brace is meant to hug you so you’ll feel tight and loved while driving(or even when you’re just seated on the driver’s seat) the Supra.:drive:
If Toyota does plan to sell a manual transmission Supra indeed, could it be priced more than the automatic? Just curious. And will manual be only available with the inline-4, or inline-6, or both?
