Pricing sounds impressive! Starting at below 50k. Priced like a proper Toyota.:headbang: What will the Premium and Launch edition have over the base model? And what about the GR, GR Sport, and GRMN models? When are these coming out?
And when can those doing a 2JZ engine swap buy the 4 cylinder...
Here are the key facts from the article:
-The interior distinctively uses Toyota’s own design language
-Common with Z4 is the chassis and powertrain
-More rigid than the Z4
-Steering feel is light but outstanding
-Direct 6 turbo is common with Z4 that offers 340 hp & 500Nm
-Straight six engine...
When it comes to car price, I usually base it on USA pricing as for the global scale. The price based in US will affect the pricing globally. Tada said price will be ‘limited’ and “acceptable for Toyota fans”. So I really hope the Supra will have Toyota’s affordability. Keeping my fingers...
If the 4-cylinder will be the only variant that will be offered with manual, then WoW!
OR
If Toyota could offer the type of transmission previewed with the Toyota GR HV Sports Concept, it’s also good,

If this will turn out to be true, then it would sound like Toyota wants to sell more I4 than I6 Supra. Isn’t it? o_O
But initially, only the I6 will be sold. It would take quite some time before they release the 4-cylinder version.
If only Toyota partnered with BMW for the I4, then I’d go I4...

Toyota wanted to partner with BMW specifically for its straight-six engines, as the Supra has historically used an...
I get your point. I would prefer it this way: Toyota would use BMW’s turbo I6 with lower power output for the base trim, and a more powerful version for the upper trim level/s.
Just like the Porsche 911(991.2 onwards) nowadays. Carrera and Carrera S share the same engine, while the latter being...
It could be that Toyota would sell the 4-cylinder version only limited to those who would do 2JZ engine swap.
Why is there a “wink” emoticon at the end of Toyota’s reply? Could it be that Toyota is fooling us?
So, after all, it would utilize a DCT; not a ZF 8-speed automatic?
Toyota Supra to be built alongside BMW Z4 at Austrian plant
Toyota confirmed that its new Supra sports car will be built alongside the related BMW Z4 at a plant in Graz, Austria.
Probably Toyota will just import the BMW components to Japan, while also adding up their own secret recipes, and assemble the production version Supra in their home country. Earlier prototypes could have been built in Austria or Germany.:hmm:
Besides, I haven’t heard officially from Magna Steyr...
