Updated my comment with videos to demonstrate the issues with stock bushings.
Removing the arm is really straight forward, just need to remove the under panels to gain access.
All the arms are tapered fit so they all should drop out without hitting/pressing after unbolting the 21mm nut at the...
It’s the bushings that give the feel and they do make a difference.
in the first video you can see how the steering wheel shimmies under straight line braking, and the 2nd video you can see how the steering wheel almost snaps in trail braking. The bushings pretty much removed this.
While you’re at it, have them check the mounting of the duct to the oil cooler. It should be abutted to the cooler with no gap. It looks like they decided to mount the cooler first and then they added the duct when the should have added the duct first.
The only decent option I had for the 374mm brakes were carbotech xp20’s. The calipers use the same piston sizes as the baby M lite brakes, so I always had terrible pad taper. The pad is just too tall for it to manage the pad well. The best thing I did was got off those brakes and moved into g80...
What’re you doing for motor mounts? I did the power flex inserts while the oil pump was done- really happy overall but I should have trimmed the top portion as it does vibrate a little at idle. Tuner raised it, but in gear the rpm’s drop back down.
Not 100% sure with the Supra folks, but for BMW’s with software dated 2023 and above don’t require an update for the ZTK pump.
I had 03.2023 software and didn’t require an update.
If you haven’t changed the original guibo yet, you got insane use out of it at your power level.
Definitely worth doing that JXB carrier support while you’re in there. That boot was also torn for me.
@Speed Logic in OC did mine for $1,600. They can get it done in a business day. Replaced mine for peace of mind and issues with maintaining oil pressure on track.
I’ve been on DDC’s for over a year. Have two sets actually.
great riding street coilover that can do occasional track duty. Feel free to DM since I got both sets for sale!
I should have clarified- stock shock. Some coil overs (like MCS) have the provision for the sway bar link mounted higher on the shock housing, which would require the sway bar to be clocked upwards, putting it closer to the tie rod.
going lower on stock suspension will actually make you have to...
They really fucked something up. There’s almost no way they could have shortened the link enough with stock suspension for it to make contact… it’s almost as if they installed a link while the other side was loaded.
1:52.41 at Buttonwillow Circuit. Good for 3rd fastest lap for the day in NASA TT GT class.
seems like the track has slowed down a couple seconds since it opened earlier this year.
also loved beating all these beefed up mustangs
I have m3 rear caliper with R5 pads. A little loud in the street, but have lasted me over 10 track days with lots of life left.
If I read your thread correctly, it looks like your on 19’s… why not try g80 m3 front calipers? I believe they’re rebranded GT m6 calipers and they’re really really good.
Kern417 had a similar wastegate issue on his DAW turbo.
bootmod3 logging can be shitty. Sometimes the refresh rates get really really slow, sometimes i lose connection. Shut down the app, cycle your WiFi, unplug/plug your dongle.
not sure if you adjusted the logging thresholds, but you can go...
Hard to say- BM3 being BM3 had broken RAM channels for oil pressure up until earlier this year.
but at 25k miles (now 37k) I installed the HPFP and the exhaust cam has been a problem child up until recently.
Hopefully you never have to worry about your pump, but it seems like oil temps were...
