Just different RPM points on the screen shots. My oil pressure target tapers off from 5k to redline (81-75PSIG). I’m unsure of the thought process why my tuner did this…. I assume it’s because HPFP demand tapers and higher oil pressure isn’t needed to support the load.
Finally got around to doing some proper testing on the ZTK pump at The Circuit at Button Willow to compare it against my old plastic adjusting ring pump. I haven’t seen any real data showing the ZTK pump having higher output, so this was a good chance to find out for myself.
Shout-out to...
Unless someone can tell me otherwise, I don’t really see a benefit for true coil overs other than the ability to change springs and adjust ride height easier. Maybe big aero can benefit from it. For me, I set it and forget it.
I had clearance issues with my aFe swaybar and had to go back to OEM...
I was going to go with Nitrons w/ inertia labs last month but wasn’t entirely convinced. Ever since they opened up distribution in SoCal everyone talks about them.
I’m on MCS 1WNR 13k front, 11k rear w/ true rear and I still feel like it could use a little more rear spring. I’m heavier than...
I have no idea. The first pan they used from the kit leaked and I smelt that within the first week. This time didn’t notice it at all… and top down or up.
cross posted on FB.
I had a local shop build my trans with a PDS HPK stage 2 kit earlier this year. Car ran great, but I noticed that the transmission was leaking fluid when I pulled the transmission cover off while servicing other parts of the driveline. Took my car back to the shop to fix the...
I'm not familiar with Toyota numbers, but the procedure and parts should be the same.

Specifically, with IAT's, yes the turbo helped pretty significantly. I have both a track map (boost limited up to ~20PSI depending on E content) and a kill map. Track map has similar boost to the BM3 OTS flex tune I was using (~22lbs) and I never run into IAT issues unless it's 85F+.

@rwsen
Damn, the man is just trying to advertise his business….
@rwense this design looks better than the one you posted on FB!
i went with BMR and it surprisingly made a difference. Did this in conjunction with replacing the front diff bushings. I’d imagine these braces would help keep the...
I haven’t tried their higher temp dust seals, but I feel like dust boots on track cars is like washing a car before it rains… fortunately haven’t had any issues for the last two years like this.
I wish there was a better solution other than going with race calipers. The stainless pistons are an...
Fake news. Rule of thumb though is don’t press a shop that doesn’t want to touch your car.
have had probably 7 or 8 alignments done on my car. Never needed to clear codes or “calibrate” anything. Even the TIS doesn’t state anything like that, and they go way over the top in regards to...
Big fan of @Speed Logic. I’ve gone to a handful of shops in SoCal and first time I came across a tech that was genuinely interested in getting me setup properly.
Had them do a Pure HPK stage 2 trans build , $7500 OTD. Done in 3 business days. The supplied trans pan from the kit leaked, they...
I was gonna say something snarky like, “don’t be spoon fed, read the thread”….
But most of the info for m calipers is literally on the first page so…
don’t be spoon fed, read the thread, lazy ass.
Thank you for posting the PID tables. I didn’t realize setpoint was in absolute- I’m surprised WOT is that low for stock parameters.
I noticed that my oil pressure targets varied in my logs at similar RPM’s, so I figured that targets were dynamic- I just wasn’t sure what exactly influenced it...
are there any corrective tables that influence oil pressure? I’ve always had oil pressure issues both with/without the Verus oil cooler and just never manage to hit oil pressure targets once oil temperature hits 260F. Currently experimenting with 5w50 to see if this helps.
I’d imagine having that massive hood vent does help evacuate a significant amount of heat. I’m also always surprised how you managed to get good oil temps and pressure.
Side note, the Wagner manifold does kick ass though. Shedding nearly 300F here.
What are people doing for PPE and safety specifically for HPDE?
As I continue to track, my 8/10ths are my old 10/10ths. I’ve added more power mods, stickier tires, and increased my tolerance to risk. My top speeds can be anywhere between 140-160mph. I’ve added a class B/C fire extinguisher...
