Decided to go with Forgeline staggered setup. Increased the width by 1" (10"F 11"R) since the car had great balance as is. Also 10" is the widest you can go in the front without rubbing on stock suspension perch or fender.
Great write up! Been looking for some help and will definitely be trying the TPMS trick. Progress is kinda slow at the moment. I have been waiting on Ecutek to release their official software so I can install my AMS DP and tune it, but it seems its taking way longer than anticipated.
Also with...
New shoes for the Supra! Went with Forgeline 18x10 F and 18x11 R.
Very happy with the fitment. Fronts cleared the stock spring perch, which is something I was concerned about.
$500? That's crazy! No way he can tell if the car needs an alignment after a test drive.
As far as the alignment goes the front camber/caster is not adjustable. The only work to be done is to restore OEM front/rear toe and rear camber, and nothing their uses one-time-use bolts.
Upgrading to better pads solved the rotor issue. My car is neutral at the moment even with only having front sway bars. Rear sway bars are PITA to install so I tried to avoid them if not needed.
You can have a strap like I did (post 22) around it that you can just lift up when not needed. It seems that Jackie is also having this issue, and most will report it soon I guess. I race the 240i cup more aggressively with slicks/ jumping curbs and we don't have any issues. Both 240i cup and...
Thats what I thought. :(
Be careful if your car is lowered with springs, the 5 mm spacer will cause the wheels/tires to rub on the fender liner or the fender itself (bonnet).
After removing the seats I tried to plug some resistors to get rid of the annoying codes.
Had to reset the ECU and clear all codes with BimmerCode before connecting the resistors but unfortunately it only worked for the passenger seat.
How? Need more details, as this got to be the #1 issue holding people from upgrading to coilovers for track since the traction will always be on otherwise.
I have Bimmercode and there is no option to override EDC (at least for the Supra)
