  1. Low pitched whine

    I don't hear anything unusual.
  2. Bad direct injector?

The EKP is in the trunk under the deck lid. It looks like this. One plug and two 10mm nuts to swap it. For the smoke test, you need a smoke test adapter with an inflatable balloon. Start the test from the air filter inlet pipe, and the inflatable balloon blocks it off + introduces smoke into...
  3. Bad direct injector?

Have you ever smoke tested your intake side? That's another diagnostic that I don't recall in the thread's post history. Perhaps you have a significant leak somewhere, and the car is hunting, to the extent that it's tripping cylinder 1. Grasping at straws some more: How are your MAP sensors...
  4. Bad direct injector?

Have you done a combustion leak test? This would rule out head gasket, cracked head, and some cases of cracked block. Have you logged the pressure of your LPFP? I would be curious to see its PSI from cold start to fully warm oil (>190F). Perhaps you have an EKP module that has gone to lunch...
  5. Wheel hop - what more can I do?

I would recommend Torqqe Performance, but be warned it might be pricy. They tend to handle vehicles in the "one of a kind" or "rare" categories, and is $$$$ accordingly. But they do full race prep and have an absolute maniac (in the best way) running the alignment rack; I would trust them to fix...
  6. Wheel hop - what more can I do?

Texas person, here. An Austin person, specifically. The asphalt mix in Texas has a relatively high calcium content relative to asphalts in other states. Some of the mix is dredged from the Gulf of Mexico, which has a relatively high percentage of crushed shells from marine life. The calcium...
  7. Cusco interior brace bolt

Reasonably certain it's 90118WA884. Also known as: take an existing bolt to Home Depot and find an equivalent. It'll cost you under a dollar. Finding the OEM bolt is a waste of time tbh.
  8. January 1, 2025 — Texas no longer

No safety tests in any county, emissions optional.
  9. January 1, 2025 — Texas no longer

This is a legitimately terrible change from Texas. There are so many outrageously dangerous shitboxes and uninsured motorists, here, and now they've made the problem worse.
  10. Wheel hop - what more can I do?

OEM tire pressure is a major way to cheaply and easily improve gas mileage. This is why we have a bunch of different people, from a bunch of different countries, showing different sticker specs. If the government is telling you to improve the gas mileage of your fleet by 1-2mpg by x year, and...
  11. Transmission fluid type

I strongly recommend you switch your ATF selection to "Amsoil Blue." If you're going to drain and fill, might as well do it with the fluid recommended by all three major trans builders for this platform. All of them have publicly commented that this fluid contributes to reduced clutch wear and...
  12. Battery CEL - Artefact of Disconnecting Battery?

Agreed. Sometimes, only a load tester will reveal the true nature of an ailing battery. Have seen this once with my own eyes, but I bought a tester right then and there on my phone. One time was enough.
  13. Wheel hop - what more can I do?

    Better traction, lower gas mileage.
  14. Naming and locations of parking sensors

  15. Seat belt harness with stock seats

    looking to get decapitated, eh?
  16. Kyostar 4" Intake Review vs MST V2

Looks like the boys at Kyostar raided the parts bin at their local ODM. Glad people have a cheaper option.
  17. Remnant Performance Intakes Manifold Oil filter Questions

Depending on what oil filter cap you have, you may need to loosen the bolts that hold the IM to the head. You do not need to remove the manifold entirely, just loosen it so you can pull it upwards slightly. The unfortunate drawback of a large IM on this car.
  18. Oil Pump

  19. High-Pitched Whine Coming From Engine Bay (2021 Toyota GR Supra 3.0)

Yep, totally normal. The water pump is electric and it whines. It's not on all the time. The throttlebody electronics whine big time when powered up. Very high pitched. And, yes, headlights too. This could be caused by capacitors, coils, inductors, voltage regulators and so on. Pretty...
