Hub rings are hub rings thankfully, they're just plastic or aluminum circles so don't worry about having to spend more to get "better" ones, they're all the same.
The Supra's hub bore is 66.5mm and Rays wheels by standard generally use 73.1mm center bores.
So, whatever the cheapest rings you...
Not sure what argument people are trying to make with that either by saying it's a "real" Nissan.
Sure, the drivetrain is made in house so it has the same fuel starvation under high lateral forces, synchro issues causing gear grinding and brake fade under hard use that the 370Z, and 350Z had...
I leave mine up but I always find myself referencing the cluster instead of the HUD. Would be nice/cooler if we could have shift lights in the HUD like the M cars do, otherwise it's basically just a secondary speedometer.
I've turned off all of the traffic notifcations/alerts and navigation...
Just get whichever one you think will tickle your fancy.
Does the MT feel a bit BMW-ish? Yes, but Toyota did what they can given the hardware. Autosolutions also makes a kit for this car now that really tightens things up/helps get rid of that feel, while keeping an OEM looking and OEM height...
I'd be willing to bet the 3.0 Supra in general is a future classic. I have an MT as well but the ZF8 is a great transmission, and if you're chasing numbers is realistically the way to go.
Ultimately the platform itself is a lightweight (for modern times) Straight 6 Turbo with great dynamics...
You're right, it's a stainless System. Must've gotten it mixed up with another one, cross that one off the list I guess XD
Although it did just remind me that Fujitsubo also makes a fully Ti Catback for the A90 platform, the Authorize VVV (https://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/products/detail/2877)
Akrapovic, SARD or TRD Fujitsubo would be the ones I'd go with to meet the goals of
1.) Light
2.) Valved
3.) Not too Loud
You will pay a hefty penny for all 3 of those, but quality isn't cheap and this is a pay to play hobby anyways.
Akrapovic will definitely be the easiest of the 3 to get...
I reached out to AutoSolutions just for some more info/pricing, how to order etc.
It sounds like he builds everything in Batches, so it could be up to a few months from ordering to receiving your order depending on what batch he's working on.
That being said, in the email he did say he's...
Just got this in the mail, I guess I'll book this with my yearly service next year?
Is it really a problem? I'd almost prefer if the car couldn't communicate back with Toyota tbh ?
In the video the poly bushings get installed at the back on the forked part though, seen here:
The front where the shift lever is doesn't look like it has any:
I believe @Sharocks is running one currently but maybe if we can garner enough interest/confirmed orders we can set up a group buy for the Auto Solutions short shifter?
It replaces the entire shifting mechanism along with the bushings though, it doesn't shorten the throws a super long amount...
FWIW, I followed the break-in procedure and use 0W-20 and also have no issues with burning oil. I did, and do drive the car as intended after the break-in period and the 0W-20 seems to hold up to street driving just fine, Blackstone reports look good.
If you live inside an active Volcano like...
Any CEL issues with the Kenji 200 Cell on stock tune? Been starting to flip flop on whether or not I want to do a catted DP. Not out here to chase numbers but a bit more of an angry tone in the exhaust from a less restrictive DP would be nice
285/35/19 in the rear, albeit in 19x10.5 +32 wheel sizing. Lowered on Eibach NA Springs which are 0.8" Drop in the rear for MT cars, zero rubbing issues
Fellow MT owner. I've heard of issues of people running catless without tunes experiencing something like a "Boost Cut" or I guess failsafe mode (Example: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/mt-supra-overboosting-throttle-closure-with-catless-dp.20220/)
But essentially because of the extra flow...
