Do these work at higher speeds such as over 100mph? I track mine and record the sessions, but trying to record interior audio is a pain due to all the wind noise.
If these work really well, I’d grab some as well if the shipping can get lowered. Definitely a lot.
That hydramat thing looks crazy, almost a too good to be true solution lol.
Jackie showed me first hand what his solution was when I met him at GingerMan raceway a couple weeks ago. Pretty darn cool system but expensive for me at the moment. I will have to figure out something though. Thanks...
Now I’m worried... I don’t want a blown motor, especially since I track my car a lot, and push it hard (hence why it’s starved a couple times already).
Do you happen to have a link to the product to help compact the fuel slosh?
Great info and feedback. Seems we are on similar setups and mod progression, but you have more currently into it than I do. Car is awesome to track, isn't it? It's very very quick.
Regarding brake feel, go with CFG. You will not be disappointed. Get the C21 front/C11 rear (or CE1 rear if you...
Yikes.
Can you elaborate how it was fuel starvation that caused the engine to blow? Oil I can understand, one mishap there and the engine will be toast.
I’m running into fuel starvation now, happened twice. All it does is go into limp mode and cut power for safety reasons. Jackie Ding was the...
When you say track, do you mean drag strip road course? If road course, investing in suspension and handling mods should be first priority. This would be my recommendation, which follows my mod path and soon to be mods:
-18” Wheels and 275 squared tires (if your HKS springs are the adjustable...
I have scratches, a small dent I discovered that only I can see, some swirls on the black plastic pillars as well, and a scuffed up front plastic trim piece due to hitting a cone when tracking it.
I once was so OCD about the condition of my cars that it was probably unhealthy.
Then I realized...
Lol, right. Tires, whees, and seat time are all obvious for improving lap times hence why I wanted to exclude them.
Cool thanks. I’ve thought about coilovers but I’d have to do a lot more research to see how much time they’d actually save around a lap for the money they cost.
Do you track...
Right, thanks. Should’ve said just the end links to help. The caster bushing will help me make both sides even and remove any of the rubber slop and have a more direct feel. Right now one side is +9.5 caster and the other is +8.5.
Did you get both front and rear aFe sways?
That’s what I meant by no driver mod lol.
I highly recommend the CFG brake pads if you’re in the market for the best track brake pad for the Supra.
Thanks for the info regarding the sway bar. I’m still going to stick with the Eibach. The SPL adjustable end links and caster bushings will stop...
For those who regularly track the Supra, I’m curious; what mods/upgrades have you have done that’s had the most significant impact on lap times and performance? Driver mod and wheels/tires excluded (those are obvious).
For me it would be CFG C21/CE1 brake pads. They are truly amazing with feel...
Track use or street driving? What tires?
For me:
Track with A052 tires, hot pressure:
F: 34
R: 33
Track with RT660 tires, hot pressure
F: 34
R: 32-33
Slightly higher PSI in front helps balance the car in my opinion. Keeps the rear in check under power when coming out of corners on track...
I was going to mention an antigravity battery, bucket seats, and carbon hood to get rid of almost 100lbs of weight until I noticed you said unsprung.
Advan a052's with 18" Titan T-S5 wheels is a light combo for losing some weight.
So does that mean there is no increased barometric pressure the MAP sensor reads and stores that could be pulled up and read later?
Trying to understand how the JB4 works.
Interesting. Those values could be thrown off with some spirited driving and track days though, couldn’t it? Toss on some R comp tires, go to the track and in one session a lot of those values will look strange haha.
Cleaned my Apex EC-7R wheels for the first time. Man, the CSG brake pad dust loves to bake onto the wheels.
Also used Carvana to see what my car was worth if stock...Double checked all the info I put in, and it's all correct but something can't be right.
