Kyle suggested 245 ... the rear hatch...fo4 the footwell. I’m unsure if the doors are on the same circuit but it’ll be my next project to try.
I’m finishing up the rear 12v module now (see above/prior posts). It’ll be pretty sharp...looks OEM.
I'm late in responding. Sorry. There could very well be a "software switch" embeded in the ECU. As I recall...there are other courtesy light fuses besides 61/62 but I've forgotten them. I need to play around with this stuff but temps are just too hot here. Pending project...
Hey CarGuy! Did you find the splash screen for the Supra? I did as you did and tried the Alpina splash but hated it and, of course, couldn't find the "Supra" option so reverted to a full backup. Then I was able to find it again. After backup, I think the displayed check-mark read "not...
I'd rather have them in the HUD. I'm still experimenting with that as this feature is available in the Z4 (expert mode). I believe there are 2 (maybe 3) codes required for the change. I set one of them. Its a treasure hunt.
The start-up screen, as I recall, isn't an option ... which would mean restoring from a backup. That would mean all other headunit ECU changes will also end up restored to whatever backup you use.
Unless I'm positive, I usually code each change separately. In doing so, if I screw up, I need...
At least you’ve established
I haven’t had a chance to check it all out here as garage temps have been 110 degrees lately. Many thanks for your work.
Since existing courtesy lights do shut off and warning lights appear in the instrument cluster (door ajar) there are obviously door sensors...
Yeah its pretty tight all around it. I can see some advanced planning is required. And...I still have to come up with a backplate for the other project. This DIY stuff is supposed to be rewarding, right?
Another nice install. Maybe (if you wanted) by moving the fuse-tap over to fuse location 61 they'd operate with the courtesy lamp (as I recall). Just a thought. I'm wondering how you crossed the middle console with the wiring. It looks pretty tight.
Very nice. I wouldn't change a thing. Vehicle grounds are hard to find sometimes but yours is as good as any. Thanks for all the pics and tips. Your install is a good road-map. Appreciate it.
Just one question. What material did you use for the backplate?
Alright! I placed my order for that. I like it. What did you use for backplate material? I look forward to your additional pics. I really think this is a great job. Presumably, you wired both the USB & cig ports together in parallel and used just one fuse-tap.
I want the footwell lights to activate and deactivate with the opening of a door.
I would, to, really like to see your pics of your project as I’ve been thinking of doing that as well.
Yeah the holes are there but there's no wiring harness for them (dammit!). Its a PITA to have to install from scratch.
I found the lights in the Yota parts manual but I wasn't able to locate the harness. Its probably in there but they use so many cryptic terms. Even if the harness is...
