Yes I noticed the six locations for courtesy lights. I was hoping to further define, specifically, which is which. I'm planning to wire lights into the footwells and want to tie it to the courtesy lights. It could be that any one of the six will work...just didn't want to have to spend a lot...
Yes I saw these in the manual but I’m looking for descriptions for the individual fuse position functions I want to install a couple things on the courtesy light circuits but the manual fails in identifying specifics.
Thanks anyway.
Not so. Changing the code in the head unit simply provides for a brightness control located on the headunit and accessible via the DISPLAY settings. It does not disable the instrument cluster brightness control.
There is, also, coding which isolates/de-couples the cluster from the headunit...
Unreal. I wonder if Toyota USA would be happy to hear about the dealership’s arbitrary attitude. Certainly bad for PR and sales if dealerships won’t service their cars. That kind of stuff easily leads to Toyota cancelling a franchise.
Try another dealership if you have one. If that fails...
The dealership installed tinting before I even saw the car. Its not bad...considering AZ sun. I don't think thats my problem as several others have voiced concerns for the same problem.
Now I'm wishing I'd taken German vs Spanish way back when...expert mode is all in German.
I, too, have been rummaging around the bimmercode world. Try as I might, though, I've yet to find any coding for the instrument cluster dim/bright. In sunny AZ, its always hard to read for some strange reason. I've looked in BMW coding forums and even contacted Bimmercode without success...
I think about the metal flakes in the oil during break-in. Others have confirmed their presence during the first oil-change. I'm at the 1000 mile mark and seriously thinking about changing at 1200.
This happened to me too. I live in Tucson but bought the car in Phoenix. That dealership promised a new battery but, later, said they recharged it. Argh!
