This exact scenario happened to me quite a few times during my tuning process on BM3 as well, but during normal 4th gear pulls. Tuner eventually worked it out and it hasn't happened since.
Discount tire already scratched them putting them on initially...so I'm planning on having them touched up at a wheel repair shop soon anyway.
Just to update - the dealership actually has mostly gotten rid of the vibrations, but they found that the road force on 3 of my tires is well above the...
I agree, but nobody else has the lug centric adapter except the dealership...
At the end of the day, it's just a lug centric wheel and many of Toyota's cars come with lug centric wheels from factory, so they should know how to do it right. It's the same process regardless of the wheel brand.
Been sitting in a local Toyota stealership for about an hour and twenty minutes. They do have the proper lug centric adapters for their road force balancers, but they said it takes them an hour and a half to do it and are charging me $150.
Typical stealership practice but I want...
Gotcha. As we all know dealers are a crap shoot, but it seems Toyota of North Charlotte has the highest average rating-to-google-review ratio. I can't speak on any dealership personally but I know CES is great from feedback of friends that live in the area and use them. Maybe someone from there...
I was onboard with everything you typed up until this, which is false.
A cheap coilover will ride like shit not long after installation simply because the dampers suck, and a track oriented coilover will ride harsher for obvious reasons, however a high quality street oriented coilover (Ohlins...
OK. That's where it was done the first time for me as well. They do have the Hunter road force balancers, but I don't think they typically use the Haweka adapters.
Question for those running these wheels... are you guys using the hubcentric rings? I've been chasing a slight vibration/shimmy in the steering wheel at certain speeds ever since mounting them (without & with the rings). Had the wheels balanced twice and two different alignments which helped...
I took it off the same night. It was that bad. Vivid tried to give me a hard time about wanting a store credit because I installed it, but you can't look at an exhaust and know there are going to be fitment issues without doing just that. Once I argued my point, they reluctantly agreed, but...
Forgive my goofy reactions but it was very comical and the video doesn't really do the loudness justice. It was literally echoing through the trees. I could still hear the car over a mile down the road (he kept going after the video ended and I still heard it popping). You can also hear the...
I think one of the mid-pipe sections was either too long or too short, so we had to wrestle it into place which caused it to be butting up against the top section and severely to the right, all the way back to the rear diff. There was no other way for it to fit in place. My dad has a lift in his...
I had this exhaust and hated it. Fitment issues galore, one exhaust tip longer than the other, mid-pipe was touching the rear diff, rattling, squealing at low speed, and wayyyy too loud with a tune and catless downpipe. The tone wasn't bad and It was funny and entertaining to hear though...
Yes, I was going to talk to them before doing that, however these ETON's as well as the Bavsound speakers are both sold as kits that can be dropped into the car with the stock amp and gain some improvements without the need for DSP recalibration. You would think that if they will improve the...
