I had a Honda back in 2010 that I did a automatic to manual conversion on which got me into the jdm scene. Rebuilt the engine and tranny a few times, so when it was down I'd drive my dad's 86' BMW 325. Even after redoing the entire suspension on that car the 325 handled better and had somewhat...
@tadda Much appreciated for this detailed write up. This definitely eliminated the vibrations and looks OEM.
I will say though my stock E92 sound system is still better, so I may still get the ghost subs. However, this build is suppose to be performance based so I may just leave it as is...
Whether or not the car lets you past 5k rpm, I’d be data logging to see if you notice anything abnormal. It might help narrow down the root cause.
You ever go custom tune or still on OTS stage 2?
True
I refinanced the first month of ownership cause I wasn’t happy w/ the rate I got. I’ll have to look into the refund a bit more since my warranty will likely be voided soon ?.
Hearing stuff like this makes me wish I never got the extended warranty since it seems they'll do everything in their power not to fix the more costly defects.
Do you know which gear your buddy started to slip in? The sweet spot might be mid 500tq range.
Seems the manual trans physical limit...
The only members here I've seen post their dyno sheets for the MT are @CU Later054457 and @barasoap.
Of course it's all relative due to the various factors that come into play. The more data we have the better though.
Thought there was portions of this video that may be applicable for this thread.

I should've did that to save $$, but I was really hoping the premium sound system would've been better than what it is.
TBH though, I tend to have the music very low or off while I'm driving this car so getting the base probably would've been better for me.
That's a good question and I was wondering about that myself.
That's actually what prevented me from tuning my E92, but after talking to a few members who were tuned on those forums and did a CA smog, they actually didn't check the CVN (checksum) values. However, there's also shared stock tunes...
To me it's not that bad compared to other BMW and Audi HUDs I've driven.
I believe you can move around HUD in the vehicle or system settings, I can't recall. You may be limited to how far you can shift it though since there still needs to be room for when you're toggling through your music from...
Did you do your 1200 mile break-in before sending your DME out? I know you've had your car for a few months now. I'm anticipating I'll hit 1200 miles in a few months too if a take a long-distance trip somewhere since this is my weekend car.
Seeing more MTs getting their cars tuned is definitely...
Should be a beast! I'd imagine there's not too many people out there w/ a built block & head unless they're dedicated track cars or in need of a rebuild.
I'm curious are you keeping your compression ratio the same and are you going with some Kelford cams or getting some custom grinded (if this...
Well I was planning on ceramic coating my A91 rear spoiler, but got this.
It’s hard to see when it’s not in direct sunlight.
It’s under the clear coat. Luckily they’re sending me a new one though. ? the new one isn’t defective.
Congrats man! I had them in my spreadsheet for MT dealers. Called them in mid-December, but they didn’t give me an ETA for the vehicle.
Got mine with 6 miles, but they had to spend a few hours prepping mine. Ending up leaving the lot with 11 miles on it.
