FWIW, you could also just buy a model 3 performance for that, too.
I agree with most of what you’re saying, but with cars, there will likely always be a better proposition for the goal.
However, often...
Maybe, maybe not. As a (fellow) GTI owner, you know that while nice, the manual option doesn’t always command a premium over the auto on the used market (at least in the short term). Who knows 20 years from now, though…
After some spirited driving today, I noticed a clicking noise coming from at least my driver side front wheel. I believe I hear it from the passenger side, too, but it's tough to tell.
It occurs when the wheel is loaded from turning, and the clicks pick up with speed.

Stock...
Stock exhaust. DS-1 catted downpipe.
I often don’t get 1-2 or 2-3 farts under WOT.
Other times it depends on load and shift point.
They are definitely still present and most often more pronounced. I’m on ecutek. I heard that tuners can tune those out if you don’t want them.
Edit: Confirmed it’s in M mode in sport with VSC ON, Traction, and VSC OFF.
Not super visible though. I wish Cobb could/would create an access port for the car so I can get the gauges I want and a visible shift light.
Not AA, but catted downpipe only dragy gains here: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/cg-precision-ds-1-catted-downpipe-only-log-review-dragy.13284/post-197795
Barely noticeable, but there are gains. I wouldn’t suggest going downpipe only for the gains. Pair with a tune or JB4 to make it worth it...

I’m on the phone with the 3rd dealer today trying to schedule a simple oil change (included in my ToyotaCare that came with the car when I bought it used).
And I had to schedule it 19 days out to ensure a Supra tech is available and they have the right GR Supra oil…
I love this...
No, I got a VW one free at the dealer (other car is a GTI) and I like it.
I would rock a Supra one for when it’s raining or to keep out of the sun at auto cross/the track. Happy to rock an umbrella when it’s not raining for sun protection.
You guys don’t like making noise? I mean, the responses are funny, don’t get me wrong. But not everyone looking to rev intends are dropping it in gear at redline.
At speed, I just downshift and have at it (in gear).
Bumming around parking garages or parking lots, it lets me put it into neutral...
Appreciate the clarity. Admittedly, whenever I was unplugging the OBD on my JB4 (not on the Supra - different platform), it was because I was trying to dodge my dealer seeing anything out of the ordinary, so I took extra (maybe pointless) steps.
