I'm looking forward to this!
There aren't any rear diffuser options that AREN'T carbon fiber other than the Max Orido one but it doesn't flow well like the rest of his kit sadly.
I mean, I like Maxton, but their products are either gloss black, textured or a fake looking carbon finish (and there are red options too). Nothing out there besides the Max Orido kit matches our satin OEM pieces like this.
About to do the same next week.
What magnetic bolt did you use - link? I can't seem to find the OEM bolt (Toyota or BMW) near me and it costs twice the amount of the bolt to ship.
What did you refill with?
Motul 300 75W90 has two versions, the regular 300 (105777) and the 300 LS (105778). Which one do we use?
Motul's website recommends the 300 LS for the Supra. However, the 300 LS is a GL5 while the regular 300 is GL4/GL5.
I'm thinking about SPL end links too to avoid the extra stress on the oem ones. Any issues with them? I read a few comments in the BMW forums that they can squeak or clunk occasionally because of the full metal build without the rubber boot.
I think it depends on your budget and whether you're looking for a track car or a street sports/GT car.
I bought my '20 supra as a daily back in August 2020 for just under $50k. The C8 was brand new then and I wasn't even thinking of cross shopping since they were marking them up to near $100k...
I've done that already with the dash cam and footwell lighting, but I wanted to avoid running wires through the door harness/boot with the door mounted lights.
If you can, sure. See if you can wedge something between the door and door panel while gently pulling the door off, it should grab the threads and eventually come out.
I just held the panel in while grabbing behind the washer that's attached to the screw and used some light pressure on pulling it out as you're unscrewing. A forked trim tool or an angled pick - as long as you can get behind it and pull as you're unscrewing if that makes sense.
Once you get...
Same thing happened to me. I think this is the one we're talking about, right behind the interior door handle? Mine broke after spinning and all I was left with was the black rubber part.
I think the part number is right, but I just ordered some through Amazon...
I'm trying to install an ambient lighting kit and having trouble finding a 12v constant source to tap into the door. None of the 3 wires in the window switch harness appears to be working (tested with a volt meter) despite YouTube videos stating to "tap into the window switch".
Some of the...
Good idea. I've been reading some reports of BMW owners only upgrading to the Alpha One amp and being thrilled by the results on factory speakers alone.
Kies Motorsports has been doing some diy's with just the amp upgrade as well and suggested it as the first step prior to speaker upgrades...
It's been a while since I've looked at the plug-n-play systems.
I remember OEM Audio+ being a lot cheaper prior to 2023 when it was a single amp system. But now it's $3k for the dual amp. And that uses the OEM speakers.
Not sure how I feel about spending $3k on an amp and a sub box that...
