While I bought mine as a VERY early 50th birthday present, I was technically still 48 at the time. LOL.
However, adjusting for inflation, my '02 S2000 I purchased new for my 30th birthday was more expensive than what I paid for my new '20 Supra.
Thanks guys!
I may just go with the guys who powder-coated my wheels then. I can always get them redone in a high temp paint if the coating fails or fades. Besides, the OEM tips aren't expensive if I need to replace them anyway.
I just don't trust myself to do a uniformly decent spray paint job.
I was interested in getting my Maxton Design V2 lip wrapped in clear ppf film as it's so glossy and prone to scratching. However, I noticed that STEK offers a carbon ppf film that not only looks like real carbon fiber but has the protection of ppf.
I was quoted $425 for the wrapping which I...
I know IND has matte black replacement exhaust tips for the OEM exhaust for $300. However, I was thinking of getting my OEM stainless steel tips powder-coated.
My question is, can normal powder-coating withstand the heat without degrading or fading or is the Cerakote high-heat coating the...
Same here. I took the direct quote from Car and Driver. :dunno:

It's now August. I think any significant changes would've leaked by now.
Other than the limited-edition A91-CF, "the [2022] Supra gains standard heated seats in 3.0 models, a new red interior scheme for the 3.0 Premium, and full-screen Apple CarPlay for those equipped with the optional JBL...
If you have ramps or jack stands, you're set. The only drilling required is on the lip itself. It uses the existing pop-clips and screws that are already on the car as well as the ones they supply you for a more secure fit.
I really want one too. Just can't decide on color since I already have a red one that reads "remove before flight" on one side and a profile of the Concorde SST on the other.
Either black or... grey? Maybe a dark grey one for the Tungsten, Turbulence and Phantom crowd?
Sometimes it can be a bit obtrusive. I wish there was a way to change the "volume" on it.
My '15 Golf R had a similar feature called Soundaktor. But with VAG-COM (the Audi/VW equivalent of Bimmercode), you could change the percentage of sound from 0% (off) to 100% (full on) and anywhere in...
Mine does that too (AA catted DP) on cold starts only, but goes away after like 10 seconds, so it's not enough time for me to get under the car to check where it's coming from. :dunno:
^^^This is what's holding back most people to switch, I think. Especially those who are still fully stock and are concerned about their warranty.
