Both.
Start catless because they are dirt cheap and cheaper used.
Then roll around and see if you like the sound, power bump, and smell.
I've been cattless for years now and haven't bothered getting catted again so far, but plan to get the AA one day when I stop neglecting my poor car.
This is the way.
I'm older and out of shape. I need the extra steps anyways, but I've always parked any car I care about far away where others don't park or hardly park.
I know the forum is a great resource, but googling this usually brought up better results. In OTHER B58 manuals it says burning a 1/2-1qt is aight every 1000-1200 miles, especially if you're driving it hard at all.
Nothing to worry about, top it off. I upped my oil to 5w30, and haven't seen...

Go to Amazon, buy oil, lift car, drain oil, lower car, enter new oil. Technically it's like $140 cause my time ain't cheap, but I don't bill me.
I use some cheap ass castrol I think. It was one of the only oils to hit all the requirements for the car. Lemme know if you want oil details.
I assume this still requires an unlock, but not sure. I haven't paid much attention to the tune portion of things. Jb4 is fine, and the whole unlock process wasn't worth the time (To me). I didn't see any disclaimers around locked/unlocked on this, so I wasn't sure if I missed it, or if I'm...
Gonna answer like this - uhhhh no. Mine has had one for 3 years now. No issues at all.
If I needed to smog...it could be, but I don't here, haha. I think that's the biggest downside. Smog states.
