Right, not what you manual Bois are selling. The Supra has that. Fine, by auto I meant no stick and no extra pedal. Just a paddle or sequential shifter.
You won't find many cars above 100k with the manual ppl are claiming is "engaging," which seems like an insult to everyone with a better car...
Expound on that cause the majority of what I see aren't manuals. Even when they are, they aren't the manuals street Bois are pushin.
F1, NASCAR, gt, anything with with a car above 100k stock isn't usually manual in what I've seen. Rally is usually sequential shifter not shifter+pedal. I assume...
Tbh, not sure how that's relevant. Not all of us need 700hp. I'm fine with my jb4...hell I'm fine without it even. 700hp does what in traffic? Around town? Get your car impounded faster i assume.
Preference is understandable, but it seems to devolve into manual is better. It was my preference for sports cars or family cars prior to the Supra. I was a manual only guy before now. So I get it.
My argument would still be that most professional races are automatics, or at best seq shifters...
Why do actual race cars have automatics most of the time? It's weird how hard some of us push the manual. I get it, but the Supra changed my "manual only" stance. The only thing I miss is be able to rev on command. Otherwise autos have manual mode.
I find it funny that all the real race car...
Titan7's maybe. I have em and I've seen a lot with them.
Even if they aren't the t7's they have a set that looks identical and are 5lbs lighter than the stock wheels when they are an inch wider (I have 11.5" on mine and lost 5lbs on each rear wheel)
Edit: corrected autocorrect
They're on the door! My wife says that every time she gets in with me. She also freaks out every time I hit the gas even though I don't go over 45 where we drive, lol.
I just watched two races this week and bmw m4 won both, lol. Oh no, not a bmw! Beating Porsches, lotuses, lambos, Ferraris, and AMG's.
I've had a 2021 since 21 and I'm liking bmw more and more, so it's not really a diss. I keep looking at m3/m4's but can't bring myself to get rid of the Supra.
Wait unless you want to spend like 2-3k getting it tuned. If they say it's cheaper or anything of the sort, make sure you know all the steps cause when you're done, yes, it's 2-3k for a tune.
I'm still too cheap to do all that. Jb4 has been fine and the supra is pretty great without anything...
Nice response. One day I...oh fk me, nvm they cost more than my life is worth now, cool. Finally make it life, then inflation, and throw on some greed and that gt4 is now 2x the MSRP and it has 12 miles on it. Cool, cool, cool, cool, coolsies.
Maybe back to consider the turbo s? Orrrr the supra...
But they are being super helpful with their dumb ass responses. /S
This community looks like crap in most the posts I'm fed.
Do people still offer actual answers or just oil jokes (which I like) and snarky comments?
Is there any equipment out there that you could buy for home to change your tires? Not necessarily considering it, but was just curious if there are options out there.
And I don't mean my old timer dad's method with prybars...I like my wheels.
If there is something possible, I might consider...
I have those in 19x8.5 (maybe 9.5 idr) and 19x11.5. less meaty cause 19, but definitely love em. Lost 5lbs per wheel in the rear AND went up an inch in width!
Still my favorite wheel.
Convenience. Send ecu across the planet and risk bricking it or losing it or get a boost bump.
Supra fast. It doesn't need a jb4 or tune. So either is fine.
Cheap. IDC how much money I have, I am too stingy to be paying $2000ish for a tune...that can be ruined by dealerships.
Preference...
Tune is always recommended, but it won't hurt running the car without one. I think I had my catless on for months to a year before doing anything. I'm sure others will chime in.
