Did a little spirited driving today. tried to keep it "subtle" as I only have 300 mi. on the clock but I took an on-ramp and gave it a little "goose" and the tale kicked out but recovered very nicely. I can say that based upon the test drive I did with the 3.0, that little incident would...
.....and the bad thing is, automotive is using "hackers" (not like the movies..:)) to lock this stuff down because of the "lawsuits" that could come from someone hacking the vehicle systems.....also, just food for thought......the tuners are looking at these types of situations from a "what...
How much of the Filter oil did you spray on the filter?????? it is dyed "red" for this reason......if in fact, that is what it is(no doubt in my mind as I use those filters as well), clean the airbox thoroughly, and wash the filter. Let it completely dry and re-apply(sparingly, only a LIGHT film...
Can't speak for the wavy lines on the cam shaft except maybe something to do with the caps. Before I became a "techie", I worked at the TMMK plant in powertrain and the machining group did engine assemblies in batches......so when the cams got machined, the caps were machined at the exact same...
Back on topic.......may want to jump soon. Local dealers in my area are already removing most incentives and this is going to be Memorial Day weekend.....big weekend for sales.
@JoeDaMechanic ...you still have the RX7? Had one myself(same year, silver, R1 package) and honestly, until the Supra, had not been in a car that was as much fun!!!!!!!!!!
LUV THE QUOTE MAN!!!!!!!;)
@zrk , also nocturnal.......know this will get met with resistance but with the stock wheels, I think this is the best color. it makes the wheels "pop"......
Yeah, good luck with the brute force..........anyway,
Hey, I am a network admin by "trade" so my explanation is nowhere near as "technically proficient" as yours.....My level of encryption knowledge applies to switches and routers on our network so I concede to you as an engineer.:headbang:
I...
Thanks for the response on this.......didn't realize how bad that buffeting was until I purchased one!!!!!! These solutions look good and may have to choose one at some point, but for now, I am good with my 'window down, window almost up" solution.
....continued.... the gas pipeline incident that just happened recently is another example of this level of encryption. In this case, the "hackers" got into the network (probably using someone's console who had a password of "pa$$word".}...and used a similar process to encrypt the data at the...
Had a discussion about this with another IT colleague (works more on our security side) and although he did say that something could be "randomly" discovered, the likely hood of that happening without some type of "leak" from Bosch is HIGHLY unlikely. The level of encryption on that module is a...
I have used jb4 on a different car for a while and there could be many causes to the issues you are having. The one thing I will say is that when I first got the jb4, I did not start out running map 6. The "best" method is to make sure of all connections on map 0 by starting the car after...
Just picked up a 2.0 W/safety-tech pkg, CF mirror caps, upgraded jbl sound system, etc... for 45K. Some have gotten a little better deal but almost identical to your situation, first dealer tried to ROB me on trade-value for my car but the one I purchased from gave me $4,500 more for my trade in...
I still believe the 3.0 Supra is the "mack daddy" Supra but I too, could not find a scenario in which I would make use of the power. I test drove a 3.0 before jumping into the 2.0 and could CLEARLY see the difference but I have absolutely NO regrets about my decision and saved a few thousand...
The trade value they gave me for my Stinger balanced out the $45K I signed for. I got over 4K more on my trade-in than a previous dealer who was just trying to rob me......only downside for me was I got the "navigation screen of death" and now have to wait for the tech to come back from vacation...
