I love this color. Looks similar to the MKIV's Royal Sapphire Pearl in the sunlight.
If I could choose any color to repaint my car it would be this or CU Later Grey.
Nocturnal black is the worst. Hard to keep clean and hides all the hotboi shit I've done to my car.
Finished up under the hood. I had the strut brace modified and relocated where it mounts. I also replaced some of the plastic caps with hardware. The braces now clear the turbo. Luckily the engine tilts down on that side, so there are no clearance issues.
I love the look of matte carbon... but I had my matte finish scratched one time and decided to switch back to gloss. It's so much easier to fix a gloss finish.
After dealing with that, I couldn't imagine having matte/satin paint on a car. That would be a nightmare.
Tried to capture the T51R mod during cold start and while revving. I kept the pops and bangs to a minimum to better hear the whine.
I love that whine, but I can clearly understand why other hate it.
I'm almost done ricing this car out.
Because I don't know what the hell I'm doing and just take screen caps of my phone when I'm not at WOT so I don't die wrapping myself around a tree or a light pole.
I believe I can do this now with Ecutek logging. So I'll figure it out.
Doing some drilling and customizing under the hood. The Torque Solution strut bars are modified and relocated. I'm changing out a few of the plastic plugs to be replaced by bolts.
The strut braces are also elevated quite a bit, thankfully there is way more space in the Seibon Hood than the...
Replacing most of the plastic clips. Polished the ground stud because why not. I also drilled a hole in the plastic for a spacer. It's for the placement of the modified strut bar that will go there.
Edit:
You can grab these over at JD Customs...
I'm prepping my car to convert the panel plugs over to titanium bolts and decided to take some pics of what Insomnia Motorsports did with the dual catch can setup.
Not the best pics because of their location.
I believe it was about 95 on the day I screen capped this. So it was 10 above ambient while I was cruising at 3000 RPM.
During my runs it get up into the 120s.
I was told that was pretty low for the conditions here. Plus it was almost 100 degrees outside that day.
Edit: I'll see what my IAT is when things start to cool down a bit.
My IAT in between running the car hard during a spirited drive. It cools down insanely quick. I think I'm good. I'm also going to make the move over to Motul Sport Ester 5w40 for my next oil change.
Same. That and I just don't want to deal with having to rent space to store parts.
More than likely this car will get ran into the ground and rebuilt.
I understand the value in keeping parts for those who don't plan to keep the car. But this is not something I plan to sell nor am I any sort of...
I've thrown away a bunch of stuff. Stock exhaust, hood, fenders, front lip, rear diffuser, skirts. I am about to throw away the stock intake manifold along with the shocks.
I think I can sell my turbo+6 port manifold for cheap.
