Figured I'd share a lil experience I had a day or so ago during my trip in Japan! I booked a 9hr rental for the White R34 GTR at the Omoshiro Noda Head Office!
For the whole day (the office is open from 10-7 so 9hrs = whole day) it was ~$230 so not too bad. All I needed was my passport, an...
I mean you don't necessarily NEED a multi thousand dollar scanner. With a majority of your parts a consumer grade scanner should do just fine.
You also don't necessarily need a 1m^2 printer. Just print in pieces and connect or better yet contract the work out. In my experience and from those...
I think the point that should be made here is, if you have that experience with solidworks, Siemens NX9, and such, why not design and test your own kits from scratch? I understand costs would be much higher considering the R&D work but if you design something that works, you could potentially...
Something I've always considered is whether or not to use an element extinguisher or a traditional style extinguisher.
The element seems to do a good job and is light/small but in a rush I could see myself or someone else fumbling with it wasting precious seconds. Whereas almost everyone knows...
I'd like to know as well. I'm designing a set of fenders similar to HGKs and there won't be any room for the washer bottle. Or at the very least a much smaller one.
Huh, interesting. I understand that spacers are used in various events and such but such a big spacer seems like a detriment. I was just reading the other day, the Cyber Evo was running 18x10.5s with 50mm spacers all around. Just seems odd that an unlimited time attack car would do that when...
I'd like to try them as well. They have a pretty similar price point albeit it's Mu is a bit less than DTC60s. If they don't dust as much as the hawks maybe they'd make a nice street pad.
My housemate had them on his s2k and really likes them although his rears are literally crumbling after...
Trust me, My DTC60s did the EXACT same thing lol I was washing my car after at track day and noticed how much grime was running down the side of the car and thought "wait a minute, thats probably brake dust" a few sprays of iron remover later, the WHOLE side of my car looked just like Bryan's ...
Yeah makes sense, not a whole lot of runoff, especially with the tire walls literally at the edge of the tarmac lol.
CMS is prob a good 6hrs+ for me as well?
Agreed with @Rensuhlo get a thread cleaner and clean up the threads. They do tend to rust a bit depending on your brake pads. My DTC60s leave some pretty nasty brake dust, and when it gets wet it tends to rust fast. So keep that in mind. However they seem perfectly fine. I've had my wheels on...
Haha to be fair, my uncle just switched from his C7 Z06 to an ND2 RF and LOVES it. He told me the exact same thing i said when I drove it "you can stay foot the floor, rowing through gears feeling like you just hit 100 and realize you just broke 60, it's fantastic"
I will say, miatas on...
I actually had an ND2 RF club prior to my supra!
It was fantastic, super playful, and power was extremely usable. Honestly just swaybars and sticky tires made the thing rotate like the center of the car was pinned down. I only had the car for about 9 months until I got an awesome opportunity to...
