  1. News, Updates, and Discussions on next-gen A100 Supra

I agree with this 100% and their caused such a huge backlash regardless of how good this car is. Inline 6 is such a weird thing to hold absolute heritage to when they the existence of the 4 cylinder model breaks that philosophy that they just had to follow. There are so many 'firsts' for this...
  2. Owner Review: Supra vs. my exes (911, Cayman, M2, Type R)

There's a house in the background? I was too fixated on the cars
  3. Toyota "Preparing" Hotter Supra GRMN, Says Chief Engineer

If the GRMN Supra is powered by GT4 Supra, will we have to wait until after the facelift for a front bumper that flows enough air?
  4. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing to commence sales of GR Supra GT4 in March 2020

Classic & Modern Racing's GT4. Notice the front bumper cutout and hood vent
  5. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

Classic & Modern Racing and Speedworks Motorsport took delivery of their Supra GT4, and it appears that the stock bumper blocks airflow (the grilles are a little higher up on the Z4 perhaps is why.) Kinda reminds me of MK3 Turbo As...
  6. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

I still don't see why a top trim A90 can't have the V35a or V35a THS-R Hybrid to keep everyone happy and to differentiate itself from the upcoming M2. This is something that can be done within a couple years. If they make Toyota/Supra diehards wait longer than 2025, they will have moved on and...
  7. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

All of those cars have been out for 5+ years, we will see which designs age better in 4 years
  8. News, Updates, and Discussions on next-gen A100 Supra

Isn’t the GR Yaris getting a hybrid too though? Something something WRC 2022 something something
  9. News, Updates, and Discussions on next-gen A100 Supra

Won’t the GR86 be a hybrid by 2025 as well since Toyota plans for all models having a hybrid trim by 2025? I think that’s a bigger deal than the A90/A100 going electric
  10. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

Sometimes I look at the car and think that it looks good, and other times I don't understand how they can mess it up so bad. The styling is just something I can't get passed and there are so many choices that come across like they didn't care. Why is there a door piece at all? The aftermarket...
  11. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

They weren’t, they were too fixated on making the FT-1 fit a smaller a car instead of creating a design the flows together. Although an argument can be made the A90 is cooler, more aggressive, and bolder than the cars I have shown above, the A90 is not nearly as beautiful. What is unfortunate...
  12. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

This is such a better designed car. The vent doesn't take away from rear quarter line that goes down to the bottom of the door. Also the hood is lower in the corner by the mirror which makes the front fenders look more pronounced and is a less dramatic of transition from belt line to hood line.
  13. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

I like the headlights on their own but combined with the low F1 style nose and high hood line, it makes the car look narrow and doesn't draw your attention from the front end down the length of the body (which is a line that doesn't flow either) like the F Type, AMG GT, and Cayman. These cars...
  14. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

The car looks so much better in person but it is still misses the mark on what would make it a timeless design. The wheelbase is longer than the 992 911 so I don't think that is an excuse and had the potential to look like a slightly smaller Japanese AMG GT if they played the cards they were...
  15. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

This would be perfect for a Toyota halo car if tuned for a power instead of a torque. Benefiting from economies of scale, it would give the GTR and NSX a run for their money while also being cheaper. If only they had a lightweight chassis to put it in... :hmm:
  16. The Lexus LC500 & LC500h, Plus LC-F Talk

I don't know why Toyota thinks they get to play by different rules than everyone else. 3 years for a convertible model and 5 years for a performance model to release after the LC500 was released is absurd and should have been released a year and 2 years after respectively. I understand that...
  17. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

Although toxic, they aren't wrong by saying "Toyota decided they could fit a size 10 foot into a size 8 shoe." There are elements, like the door vent, that just don't work. 'They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should' when adapting the FT-1...
  18. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Which is correlation and not causation. That is equally as relevant as saying "they are longer than 170 inches so they don't have a manual"
