That’s undercutting the Supra across the board.
For reference the 4 cylinder Supra starts at 4.9 million yen, the 6 cylinder is 6.9 million, and the GRMN to be well above that.
I do agree gatekeeping 2.0 Supras is rather ridiculous, but Toyota should not be praised for half-assing this model because it has further implications than just this car. This is still a flagship car regardless of trim and it should have had more attention during development.
The sad part is...
I’d argue that that scenario is even less likely since it lines up with the M2 release which will be essentially be a 2+2 Supra according to insiders.
I agree the M3/M4 will be vastly different than a potential S58 Supra due to the weight. But not so much with the G87 M2 which is essentially G29 with a backseat according to BMW insiders. This means the M2 will weigh a tad more than the Supra but not enough more to justify the additional...
I agree 100%. I mentioned this earlier but it didn't get much traction but If I were in the market for an S58 powered vehicle, the GRMN makes the least amount of sense to purchase outside of the rarity factor and another reason why a low volume GRMN S58 car doesn't make any sense.
There is no...
As great as it would be for it to be the S58 under the hood, I do not see it as so even if ///M allows it. By QAing BMW's S58 Toyota would be undercutting Lexus's performance division distinguished reliability over other performance brands, notably ///M. For example, by QAing the S58 Lexus loses...
I am pretty sure the license plate, M IA 8047 indicates a BMW test vehicle.
I wonder if it has any relation to the 8 series with a P58 (S58 with a dry sump) transaxle with the M IA 8147 plate
I dont think the nismo 370z is a good judge of pricing. Not only is it incredibly overpriced ($12k more than the 370z sport with very little increase in performance) there will more than likely be several trims, packages, and options.
I still think it will be cheaper than $39.5, which is the...
I really don't think they will sell the 400hp variant for less than $45k. But in theory they could make the 400hp version a lot cheaper than we think since the 400hp version is nearly identical to the 300hp version so the production costs aren't too far off from each other. They could try to...
Depending on the levels of refinement and features, I could see it being as low as $36k which is where the Q50 starts. But on the other hand, I do think they will add more features to try to compete with the Supra's features.
I personally think they should do a ~$36k barebones version with...
Yes the volume. There is less air due to the reduced length of the intake tract.
I copy and paste that because you're unnecessarily pedantic and if you don't like the way something is explained then you treat it like a 'gotcha' moment.
You have no point to make here. Each system has their...
