^ interior panels are apparently the very last thing on the list and unlikely to happen.
in fact, they are struggling to figure out a way to reproduce a lot of things without asinine pricetags. some suppliers and in-house items still have equipment available for A80 parts, but A70 is even older...
egh lol, doesn't get much lighter than 27-2800lbs for a car of that size. It was actually amazing the 86 weighed that given the same size cars in the 90s weighed about the same (S-chassis etc).
Corolla GR4 may actually slot in above the GR86 (Yaris GR4 is $40k), at least price wise, but we...
I use A90 here and there, but as said it is just marketing. Thing is, in Japan and some other areas (maybe EU) they refer to Supras by chassis code instead of Mark/MK designation, so the reason for the marketing is to associate the progression of the models to those markets.
I was talking to a product planner the other day, and while he isn't someone involved with the Supra, he mentioned the manual and said that the last he heard it would be surprising if it happens regardless of trim level as apparently a bunch of people think it's completely unnecessary for this...
I actually weighed my aerotop and it was low/mid 35xxlbs iirc (TT-R weighs quite a bit less), so they're not nearly as heavy as some think. But yeah, there were several reasons why the platform sharing thing didnt happen.
The developments are totally different in the way they went down... Yaris platform already existed and they were already developing a drivetrain package for WRC, so it wasn't much of a jump to create the GR4. In fact, you could say it wasn't really developed for the public at all until someone...
Corolla GR4 is on the way
But the Yaris GR4 is indeed a ton of fun to drive IMO, but it's also lightweight, 6spd, and AWD. In stock form, I'd take one over the Supra, but the beauty of the Supra is how much it shines when modded, both in standard config and when built. It also looks a lot...
typo'd my post on the last page as it was always a 1.6L 3cyl (apologies), but I'm actually pleasantly surprised they managed to bump the power a bit. It was testing in low/mid 200s before, so 250+bhp is a welcome change and the tq figure is great as well.
swap the passenger side suspension to the drivers side, and you will have right about what I set my cars to do with coilovers (ride flat with driver in car)
jokes aside, that does seem a bit odd being that its side to side difference vs just small variances at all four corners.
this is cool for sure, but the one I mentioned as coming later on is better and it will be obvious why at a later date, but I can't say anything about that one. they're not really the same thing per se, but anyhow time will tell.
