My apologies for posting in wrong threads, I am usually traveling and in a hurry when posting. Thank you for this thread, I will post any relevant information here.
Something tells me we will see the return of (or something like) the “Super Capacitor” system:
Toyota: “Under braking, in the designated hybrid recovery zones, the system harvests energy which is converted into electricity by the Motor Generator Unit (MGU), located between engine and gearbox...
I still don’t have concrete info on engine types, but based on the upcoming tech they want to use (and currently use i.e., iForce Max), an inline six would make the powertrain layout too long. Now, it may explain the long hood of the GT3 concept as a “vision” for a long hood, short rear end...
Not sure exactly, but there is “talk” about “capacitor boosting.” Imagine, a V6TT with new Yamaha heads and a capacitor pack for additional boost ?.
Yamaha (as you know) has been a key partner for Toyota for decades. That partnership has only gotten stronger in the last decade. Yamaha played a very important role in the LFA’s development and they will play an even more important role in the new platform. Marmorini’s efforts will...

Yeah, I remember. He also owned two NSX's and a few several Porsche's...one of which I believe is a Shark Werks. Joe is a big gearhead, and he said one time (I think on someone's podcast) that he regretted selling his MKIV Supra...it was the only fast sports car he owned that never gave him...
DI creates carbon throughout the top-end of a motor, both intake and exhaust…all the way to the pipe tips. Turbo DI cars accelerate that process. There are numerous examples from different vehicles. Toyota had this problem with the introduction of the IS350 back in the mid 2000’s. It’s one of...
Is there a new “Supra” coming?…..yes.
Is there a new Lexus sports car coming?…..yes.
Will both be built on a similar or same platform?…..yes
The GT3 (as is) will not be a road car. I truly do not know it’s purpose. As a concept or “vision” it makes sense, but in reality this vehicle caters to...

Just make sure you eventually go port injection on the 2 port head or carbon buildup and a need for a head-off job will be required down the line on the exhaust side.
This! Rock chips are inevitable, and unless your vehicle will be a garage queen….it’s gonna happen whether you like it or not. I take my MKIV out regularly and have already gotten a few bumper chips, but so what….extreme case, I repaint it in the future. The great thing about newer cars is...
…don’t remind me. Their mentality is if you don’t own a MKIV and are on Supraforums, you will be considered a peasant. The moderators of SupraMKV are 110% better. That’s all I’m gonna say.
