Yeah - search the forum. There is a lot of oil discussion. The GR oil is really expensive and unnecessary. However, I would recommend using 0w-20 oil that meets all the specs. Don't give Toyota a reason to try and pin this on you

Better question. Did you guys pay the $300+ insurance for the single day Supra Sunday? For a full 3 day event I would be fine paying it, but it is hard for me to fork over $300+ for what's going to be mostly lead/follow on the track for an hour or two

Put a piece of tape over OBD II port, and specifically tell them not to plug in at all. My dealership respected this, and they reset oil change interval on dash. I just politely explained the situation and told them it will cost me $500 to unlock it if they flash it.
