I've been MHD tuned for quite a while now and have had 0 codes aside from the "Insufficient fuel for power delivery" code that you get when trying to run the OTS E50 map. Basically it will put the car into limp mode if you red line the car on the OTS E50 map. All of that is 100% solved with my...
Installed the ZL1 add-ons rock guards because I was noticing a few little paint nicks here and there. The fronts look OEM! I'm not sure why they decided to use silver hardware for the rears.... All in all, I'm really happy with the results. The rears clearly aren't designed around the Maxton...
I would love to have a pure800 on a decently conservative tune, on 93 octane, and make the power that I currently make on E40 stock turbo, and this is completely possible on the stock fueling. I just need to save up the money! What I may just do soon is get a methanol kit installed and tune for...
The rears are easy until reassemble. It takes maybe 15 minutes total to remove the rear shock once the spring is out, it's only held in by 3 bolts that are very low torque. Once it's out, hit the perch bolt with an impact until it comes off and then you have straight access to the dust boot and...
Have you already done the rears? If your bump stop is lodged inside of the dust boot it's gonna be a pain to get it out, if not, it will be easy to pull down and cut, but hard as hell to get the bump stop connected back to the dust boot.
When I did this job I removed the dust boot cover and cut the bump stops at the same time, obviously by removing the top perch. Getting the bump stop back into the dust boot took some PB Blaster lubricant and some serious elbow grease as well. I couldn't imagine trying to slide the bump stop out...
You will get more benefit from Methanol injection if you're on a port injection setup. That being said, Methanol =/= more power than a simple flex fuel setup. I've seen 2020 Supra's on a Pure 800, Methanol, Pump 93 setup make 600 whp and 580+ WTQ. If you add Ethanol mix, Methanol and a Pure 800...
Also, one of your latest posts said you were storing it for the winter, I've never lived in a colder climate area, does that mean you literally won't be driving it at all until winter is over?!
Man if I wasn't saving up to buy a house a Pure 800 and port injection would be my next venture, sadly that's not in the cards at the moment so I will have to live vicariously through you and others. I can't wait to see where this goes now that you can pay to get an actual ECU tune!
The ride quality is almost identical to the OEM springs, I literally can't tell a single bit of difference. As for the handling, it feels a bit more responsive and you can tell there's a slight reduction in body roll. There's nothing but pros to this install and no cons that I can think of other...
I've heard this here and there as well but it's all to circumstantial. Same shop dynos the cars on different days, same mods, with "similar" weather conditions and the 2020 2 port car makes like 10-20 more HP and TQ. It's never the same day, literally pulling one car off the dyno and tossing...
