Hell yea, I'm guessing close to 620whp and torque as well, assuming you're going E40-E50 and running meth still. I think those numbers would be a safe bet, maybe closer to the high 600 range if going aggressive.
@freeform911 Yo Freeform your car was looking beautiful in the pictures CES posted on instagram!! Your car is one of only a few black Supras that has made me think twice about Absolute Zero!
If a new Supra model comes out with the S58 with a DCT or ZF8 speed option it would be the first vehicle outside of the new Lotus that has me interested in a trade in. Sadly 100% of those ECU's would be locked so you would be looking at keeping the car stock for quite a while.
Ok cool, I was mainly just checking because this is my friends first year living in Atlanta and this is something that he didn't research before moving. Thanks everyone!
Ahh ok gotcha, I didn't now Atlanta residents had to pass emissions testing. My friend was freaking out because his Supra is tuned and he sold his OEM downpipe lol. He also said that his letter didn't specify which parts of Georgia were subject so I was curious.
So friends of mine have been receiving registration renewal letters in the mail, and these letters have stated that in order for their vehicles to have their registration renewed that they will have to pass an emissions test. The letter stated that starting this year, any vehicle from 2019 or...
Those numbers are great considering you're on the OEM downpipe. That extra 65 lbft of torque makes a huge difference but I'm impressed! How are you liking the way it drives now vs the stock tune?
All launch edition cars had ECU hardware that is tunable, however if the brake recall has been done that means you will need to have a bench unlock performed in order to tune the car. Luckily a bench unlock isn't to incredibly expensive and is a pretty easy procedure. Assuming you want to go...
I would definitely help if I lived closer haha. The rears are indeed so much harder than the fronts because of such limited access from the backside. IND sent a nice little trim prying tool with the reflector kit and I definitely did have to use it in the rear. Once I had the adhesive heated up...
Getting the OEM reflectors out is the biggest pain of the entire job because the OEM adhesive is incredibly strong. A good heat gun, which I don't have, will help significantly loosen the factory adhesive to make removing them way easier than the ways I've had to do it. The best I've had is a...
Today I pulled the passenger side of the front bumper off and painstakingly removed the paint matched reflector, removed any extra adhesive, cleaned any contact surfaces with 99%, reapplied new 3M adhesive to the reflector and replaced it back into the bumper. This mofo better stay put this time!
Ok so I'm guessing you guys are referring to something I haven't heard about with this "unlock" that costs $3,300. Someone said "bench unlock" and I was like "WOAH, WTF". What is this method like a complete hack of the ECU?
If anyone is charging you $3,300 for an unlock thats the most ridiculous shit I've ever heard LOL. If that's a serious quote you need to go somewhere else, Holy hell!
You should check around. The shop that tuned my car also performed a bench unlock and the unlock fee from said shop was cheaper than I had seen anywhere else, by a long shot. Like, I believe it was only $450 maybe and other places were like $600-$1,000. My car is also a 2021.
