What temps are you guys seeing on your transmission when tracking? I was looking at some logs from a few weeks back when I ran at Willow Springs, and my 6MT-transmission temp was consistently running at 222-229. Ambient temp was 88 degrees.
Right, this is the actual logic. The B48 is hitting the 500HP range with significantly less weight. Many race/track Supra's are keeping it at the 550-600hp range anyways on the B58 to keep the stock transmission or axles happy.
the 2.0's are pretty popular in Japan. And people are now seeing the potential of the B48. Bailey Woods won Track Mod class Grid Life Laguna with a B48 swapped E36 M3.
there's good info already presented to you here. No one is discouraging you to get new brakes, but you need to approach it with the proper mind set.
Pads, fluid, lines will yield you the results you want. The actual caliper/rotors will provide specific benefits that don't significantly...
This is true -- I've reached out to them as well. They reply, but are not receptive of the data and suggest, in their own words; "there's no known issues". Even when presenting them with logs.
a 200 cell has significantly less backpressure, but still more than a catless. Not insinuating that peoples car will blow up, just making a point that many people say things without having data. Yes, you can run catless without a tune, but doesn't mean there's no underlying issues. It's not...
it's the overboost from the reduced backpressure, because there's no longer a cat present. People saying they're not having issues is because they're not actually looking at data and just talking out of their ass because their car hasn't blown up.
I can see people complain about having to pay $400 for the unlock next, or why didn't they throw organic gummy bears in the box when they returned the dme...
I had an amazing experience with AT.
It does. It was slightly more to Europe, and it was for a DHL pickup from your house, to them, then back to you for that single shipping charge.
You can keep the AWE exhaust you're running now, remove the Z4 brace and run the older rear braces for the Supra. Like Eastwood has mentioned -- the newer brace was intended for the Z4 because the Z4 doesn't have as much structural rigidity provided by an actual roof. Or you can find a trunk...
I've posted on some of the work done to both the car and the diffuser itself to optimally run this thing but it's finally done.
I ended up not running the frame I had CNC'd to mount the diffuser. It made the setup way too heavy and my mounting points didn't allow enough adjustability. So...
I have worked with both AJH and Zebulon and have no complaints about either. Both companies are very responsive, however Zebulon typically having longer lead times for anything thats custom or not readily available off the shelf (universal stuff).
You can't go wrong with either one of them...
