Autotuner is already blazing fast. I just sent it on Tuesday, received a duty bill for the return early yesterday... and it arrived at my door step, in Southern California today.
pipe will exit the rear-side. We were playing with the idea of opening up the diffuser and routing there and even running a blown diffuser setup... but ultimately didn't want to over complicate the setup and went with a rear-side exit exhaust.
Been working on this off and on for a few weeks when time allows; measured and sized the diffuser up and cut. Riveted into the chassis and crash bar to support the a custom aluminum "skeleton" frame I designed that'll eventually mount to the brackets I installed. Making progress.
The Racebred splitter is decent, and the tunnels help but is not really in same league here. His new splitter is significantly more advanced in design and should provide substantial DF over the Verus diffuser he was running previously. Even then, I'm not sure if it's enough to run a dual...
Will only progressively worsen as used prices allow this car to be more attainable.
To answer OP's question. Car is fine, no issues with it mechanically or from my initial expectation till now.
I got aero consultation from JFK Aero a little over a year ago before I ordered parts. Obviously regarding the A90, but specifically class limitations on aero, adding/removing what's allowed in said class and optimizing from there. There's so much nuance to what can make aero work properly...
I previously ran the Verus rear diffuser and while it did a decent job, the whole bottom-rear end of the Supra could really be improved in terms of drag and downforce. I recently posted the rear bumper cut and today I modified a new diffuser that has about 50% more surface area for air to...
show people get it rough -- they're given a hard time for having non-functional show pieces on their car. Yet if they do put on functional pieces, but don't track... they're given a hard time for having a wannabe race car lol
Black can also have a good cinematic effect for photos/video, since black is used as negative fill, and your light source is intentional (instead of fighting against light spill). Gives your photos a nice contrasty touch you wouldn't have otherwise. And yea, you can just use more light if you...
there wasn't anything on the market I liked either, which is why I got one that closely resembled OEM, and I added vents that I think looked good and functioned to them.
The Seibon hood is indeed lighter than OEM. The OEM hood is relatively light however.
I like this one a lot because it followed the lines of the OEM hood but added a small vent right behind the heat exchanger. I ended up butchering mine but this one looked amazing as is. Seibon VS-Style.but
I haven't tracked nearly as much as you have in this car but have been using this same oil since 3K miles. Have done Blackstone analysis twice in the past two years and everything is normal. Just throwing this out there for those coming across more oil talk
RSFuture often times works with local clients and don't ship out. But your mileage may vary if you speak to them (if you're at all interested). But I agree, it's significantly more convenient to have off the shelf stuff as it's usually easier to replace. All the custom stuff is great until...
