I can't reply or it means I have no life? lol, is this 3rd grade? You asked why topic changed, I gave you an answer. Go through the previous threads if ya don't get it.
Because if you lurked around this forum long enough you'll find that your rants are #384829 on the list. Old news, we've already beaten to death all those points you've made..
Interesting but nonetheless means nothing.. the author just cherry picked cars that were seemingly tied to recessions merely by being close in time. S2K and 350Z caused the 2001 recession? Lol the S2K wasn't a big seller for a cheaper car and it was out 2 years prior and the 350Z wasn't even...
is that saying no one outside the M division of the ultimate driving machine corp can provide similar insight to tada? sounds a bit odd unless bmw has really changed
while I have no doubts on Tada's expertise, I do wonder what sort of insight he was really able to provide BMW who arguably should have accumulated more experience, talent and know how when it comes to performance machines than what Toyota had over the past 2 decades..
from everything we've heard so far did toyota really have more power over this project as they did with the twins? I sure never got that feeling..not to mention the twins were a clean slate that only resulted in 1 car & 1 design (ignoring bumper) whereas that isn't the case for the Supra...
they brought just the dough
in all fairness until we find out what the actual powertrains are, as it has been rumored that at least part of the engine design would be sourced from toyota, they may have invested more into this project than we think. for the most part, i'm sure this project is...

the original
eh, very difficult to see it being only a $7 K premium especially before taxes above the 86.. I'm assuming the base model will still cost at least $40 K after taxes, which itself is a $10 K discount off the current base Z4..though admittedly everything hinted so far is pointing to a $50-70 K...
the differences are pretty minor, if you black out everything around the grill I'm sure it'll come out looking pretty much what you want. we've had numerous renders on this website showing it both ways.
admittedly this is what I felt at first when the mules started coming out but considering Toyota is trying very hard to keep as many design cues things from the FT1, I'm giving this a real chance to see it in person before I make an opinion...
Virtually all DCT trans still do the shifting for you unless you choose manual mode, the comparison is torque converter vs DCT
e: the poll could be more accurate to state 6 cyl torque convertor vs 6 cyl dct
hmm don't think there are any more panels hiding anything, pretty sure it will be nearly identical to the magazine's render with the vent on the door...while i think they should have left it ventless it would look cleaner this way as opposed to a sudden drop to the quarter panel/rear wheel well...
