...indeed, this is very strange coming from him especially after all he said with the GT86. It is one thing for him to say the potentially smaller percentage of manual enthusiasts wasn't worth the extra development costs but it is another to claim it isn't necessary to have one in a performance...
Yup...and it hints production will arrive in a years time from now.
From the side it makes it appear the vent on the door is just a trim piece over the door panel and not actually molded in...think that explains why the most recent mule still looks like it had a fake panel on the door.
who knows, maybe it is the trade off that they are willing to make for a low volume car. Admittedly, BMW was technically the best company Toyota could have worked with for this project. Maybe one could argue they could have teamed up with Mazda and make the RX9/Supra as platform twins but...
on a side note, while I totally get the distinction & separation Lexus wants from Toyota, I still find it funny that both Toyota & Lexus pressroom websites still feature both Lexus & Toyota announcements lol...not to mention platform sharing between them is not disappearing anytime soon...really...
is this some sort of wishlist..? otherwise you'll be very disappointed lol. As A70 said, what is coming shouldn't be a surprise at this point...we've already hashed out the motor & trans probabilities, certainly isn't a V6 or DCT..
well considering the widebody kit and probably different front bumper/hood, think the production car will still be notably different...and less aggressive
i see the quarter panel rear intake slit at 0:14...think it confirms the vent ain't getting any bigger than we currently see it on the most recent mule...still don't think it'll be functional on the regular car.
$80-100 K cars are not unattainable especially if we're talking about 2nd or 3rd owner....anyone who has a decent job and isn't in debt could reasonably manage to pay one off. Personally I wanted the Supra to be competing with the GTR & NSX as I thought that would mean next gen advancements...
i doubt it especially considering as is it matches the Best Car rendering spot on. doubt they are hiding any more design cue except maybe on the hood.
you're saying that pic shows amber turn signals? if so, I don't see them
could be but I don't think so. If you look at 4:00 it just looks the red ring is going in and out...the whole cluster is red rather than clear so I doubt it is amber...
don't think there are any fake panels left, just all camo wrap..
