i get that, but for most of the world the 86 is much cheaper compared to the 2 series. Think Germany has the cheapest 2 series and it starts at 29 K EURO just like the GT86 in their country (admittedly if I lived in Germany would probably get the 2 series over the 86), but in Japan the base 2...
lol not very fair to compare a car that is nearly 50% more expensive. plus, dynamically speaking compared to the 86 you're just gaining power..matt farah on numerous occasions has stated that he feels the 86 is the best chassis and has the best steering for under $70 K which is a big nod...
..aren't we expecting this to have a clam shell hood? Also pretty sure like the how the magazine showed the rear vents, they are entirely on the door and not connected to the quarter panel..
right but that's not what we're saying. the rear vents on the FT1 were mainly on the rear quarter panel sorta of like the mkiv's. the production mkv doesnt have back seats and so proportions are quite different. now we're looking about the vent being entirely on the door, and just being a slit...
the magazine definitely seems to have called it. im stoked about the vent with the front fender/hood and in the rear with the taillights if we can trust it all the way.
..guess the interior is still a mystery, the magazine used the FT1's
eh, while I would love for that to be true, it is very difficult to see them engineer basically a hole in the door especially for a slit that small lol.
if the vent is on the quarter panel then we're in business but I was pretty sure the doors go pretty far back, didn't think there would be room between the door and the rear wheel wells..
..and yea this angle makes it look a bit odd
well I'll be damned, they actually added the vent slits on the doors...not sure how i feel about it, sorta looks cheesy with how thin it is and considering it is most likely fake but I guess we'll see how it looks in person. however, im pretty happy about the vent/lines around the headlight...
I sincerely doubt BMW would allow Toyota to sell their chassis for 86 money. From everything we've seen, there is nothing hinted at the 86's demise or replacement, people are just way too antsy while this Supra project isn't even complete..
oh i got that right away, but we're still getting posters who are taking magazine's stats as law without logically thinking about it..gearing alone ain't going to make it under 4 secs..
